Old Chicago but I would suggest getting there around 5pm if you want a chance at getting a seat.

This year the gal and I are cooking a nice romantic meal together at home and saving a ton of cash.*

Just buy her two hot dogs and maybe some loaded nachos at the bram to tide her over until Sunday. If she is not full she will be sick and you can go out and celebrate the victory. win-win!  :ksu:

Just tell her if you really loved me we wouldn't need to go out for a valentines day dinner.  Valentines day = the craptiest holiday known to man.

In my experience, there is absolutely nothing good over that way. The DMV, Country Stampede offices, Valentinos and that terrible Mexican place that everyone loves so much make for an atrocious area. Although I have heard that the Thai place over there is ok. I'm sure this Gilio's is pretty bad.

thai place is mas o menos. kind of fits that whole area imo. is weird that valentinos is back. it was there twenty years ago and then went away for a long time and then magically reappeared. odd.

I used to know a girl that worked at valentinos that would hook me up with free food.  I went once and never went back.  That place was so horrendous I wouldn't take their free food.  It does have an icee machine though.  Kinda redeeming but still, WTF?

Gilio's is awful.  The food is absolutely terrible.  I'll eat about anything, but I just couldn't choke down the ravioli.  It was some of the most disgusting food I've ever attempted to eat.  Nice atmosphere though.

El Cazadors (at least I think thats what it was called...its been several years)?  We asked for more chips once and our server grabbed a half eaten basket off of the little table clean up cart as it went by.   :lick:

Once, on Valentine's day, my girlfriend and I went to Dillons and got Chinese and then I took her out to that one scenic overlook on the highway. We ate our sweet 'n sour chicken whilst gazing at the majesty of the Flint Hills.  Yeah, I'm awesome.

Decent salads at Gilio's. The only pasta I like there is the carbonara. Other than that I'm not a big fan of their food.

Casa Agave has since been closed for once again employing too many illegal immigrants, it should soon reopen with a new name under "new" management and with a brand new staff composed exclusively of illegal immigrants. I kinda like it though
