Title: Good Eye Drops
Post by: Pike on February 04, 2009, 12:04:31 AM
Ok so here's the deal. Whenever I wear my contact lenses my eyes turn bloodshot, and naturally everyone I come in contact with asks me "Are you high" or something in that context. Like, even my boss at work sniffs me and crap to make sure I don't smell like  :bong:. So I tested out some Visine Advanced Relief and it didn't work. Any ideas on what do work?

Also, any suggestions on why my eyes are always red while wearing contacts? I am in the process of testing out new contact solutions and I always try to be very hygienically sound with them. I think a visit to the eye doctor is in my near future.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Rodos. They don't burn at all either, just a nice cooling effect.

Supposed to be excellent. (http://wisechoicemedicine.net/store/information.php?info_id=11)  Let me know if you go blind, develop a brain tumor or grow a third arm out of your back or anything like that.

Zaditor.  It's available over the counter, and it's far better than anything else you can get OTC.  You have to put it in before you put your contacts in and wait a few minutes.

You need to go to an eye doctor.

what kind of lenses you wearin' (brand and type)? Your eyes might not be getting enough oxygen through your lenses.

I concur.

Q: I recently have started to wear my contacts again after not wearing them for three or four months (I've just been wearing my glasses). My eyes keep getting really bloodshot with them in. Is this an issue, or is it just my eyes readjusting to the contacts? My eyes get really "veiny," so to speak. — B.V., Idaho

A: Bloodshot eyes are a sign that something is not right. It could be as simple as a solution allergy or dirty lenses. But it could also be a sign that your corneas are not getting enough oxygen. Go see your eyecare practitioner and find out why your eyes are so red! — Dr. Dubow
