I have been saying for a while now that "Ben 'n Dax" would make a great CBS sitcom.

Damnit. What a garbage 'plan' they've got going. $70 million? Wow.
I'm definitely going to spend a bunch of time in the Hall of Mediocrity or whatever they call it, ooh-ing and ahh-ing at the jerseys of former basketball greats who are already dead and I never heard of. Then maybe spend 38 seconds buzzing through the area they reserve for memorabilia devoted to our national title football teams. What, are we going to build a 12,000 foot purple spire to commemorate the one time we won a conference championship? crap. :blindfold:
I'd rather throw out 70 million $1 bills and KSU flyers from an airplane over Prince George County. Would be better for the future of our program(s) than this dump. :blindfold:
edit- And one more thing. Russ Briggs is the head of the 'steering committee' for this craphole? I GUARANTEE YOU we will end up with more Briggs crap plastered everywhere then you can possibly imagine. Frank and Co. will be wearing purple and orange windsuits with kansasstatecars.com all over them. How franking long before we rename the university after him? Seems perfectly reasonable to me. At least he doesn't want pictures of his face everywhere, although maybe that's the way to get him to lay off. Ppl won't buy cars from dudez that look like Saddam Hussein. :blindfold: :blindfold: :blindfold:  :frown: :chainsaw: :blindfold: :blindfold: :blindfold: :blank: :blank: :jerkoff:

Talked to a buddy last night that's working on the project...
Apparently, things are pretty quiet right now. Sounds like they're securing bids from contractors.
I asked him if the recent economic downturn would hurt the project in terms of rising contruction costs, etc. He said yes, but it would kind of balance out because contractors would lowball bids to get a big job like this.
Anyway, I thought it was interesting. Progress is being made. The basketball facility has money secured, so that will just keep going. What they're rasing money for now is the football renovations.
At least that's what I got out of the conversation. He's not at liberty to say a whole lot, and I didn't press him.

Heard the same thing regarding the funding last week. The money has been secured for the basketball project and it will get completed. $6 million was raised in less than a year for the project.

Kavisto Field. Hmmm. Ae they going to put the word "Bankrupt" where the kickoff X is on each end ?
Atta boy Tom. You really make us proud. :ku:

How can I deny that?? You have no clue as to what the timeframe was to begin with. I could say the same thing about ku . . . KSU first expands and renovates its stand alone football offices in 1992 . . . that's 1992 Ben. KSU put another addition on the STAND ALONE Football offices in 1994 including the Academic Center . . . they put another expansion and do $10 million dollars worth of renovations in 2005 . . . in 2007 ku finally opens its own stand alone football complex. Just 15 years after Glen Mason first asked for his own football facility.
In 1993 . . . KSU built a massive football only indoor practice facility. ku . . . still doesn't have a football only indoor practice facility. K-State's already replaced the original turf with FieldTurf in its stand alone football practice facility . . .ku football still has to share its facility with track and other sports.
K-State opened a new baseball stadium with a brand new clubhouse, baseball only weightroom and renovated the baseball only indoor practice facility 3 years ago. ku baseball just got its own clubhouse and has never had, nor likely will never have its own indoor practice facility.
See how this works??
So sure, we'll talk about "dragging feet" anytime Ben.

So, looks they are starting by snaking the sewer lines :dunno:
Duh, that's always the first thing you do on a project like this. Second step is generally steam cleaning the carpets, and then they move on to some light gardening or possibly a nice game of gin rummy.

Ben we've pointed out the numerous misspellings and such over time in your posts. Really pretty anal if you ask me.
Not to mention the countless times we've busted you on stuff you've said and then tried to/too (always gotta cover the bases when Ben's got his anal tachometer red lining) deny.

You look at ku's '09 recruiting class (in football), ranked #28 overall by Rivals, and tell me that the new football complex didn't pay dividends. Go ahead, I need a good laugh.

I think Prince's class was, like, #31, so there's that.....
-
Look at ku's '09 recruting class... might have two or three Juco's total. One of them is a 6'6 4-star D-end. Not at all like Prince's classes.

You're right, Rivals had our '08 class ranked at #27, with your '09 class currently @#30. You were saying?

Sure the new complex helped, but not as much as winning. There's nothing in ku's new complex that a kid isn't going to see at nearly every other school. Every school in the Big 12 (and nearly all BCS schools) have the hydro-therapy rooms, have the flat screens, have the players lounges, have the big oak (or other nice wood) lockers, have the leather couches, have the 10,000 plus square foot weightrooms etc. etc. etc.
-
Just getting something started on this project helps me let out a sigh of relief. For a little bit it looked like the WV was going to be a total lie or something.

That class was over-inflated by a bunch of Jucos and a bunch of kids that never showed up on campus. ku's '09 class is sick, and just further widens the gap between the two programs. Enjoy the #88 recruiting class in the country.

Your class is pretty servicable BMW, no doubt. Mid level Big 12. Almost first page rivals. Not really qualfying as "sick" though. Just imo.

Wow... you don't know the difference between "to" and "too" either. LOL @ a fan of a program who has the #90th recruiting class trying to diminish a class that is ranked 5th in the Big 12, behind only Texas, Oklahoma, Texas A&M, and Nebraska.

LOL at anyone using internet lingo admonishing people for their grammar, LOL dude, LOL.

Ben's got that Anal Tachometer revved high today.

For a guy that's 6'5, 4.6 isn't bad. Briscoe ran a 4.7 out of high school.

That's a rhetorical question. Of course the guy didn't play on a team of midgets. He played highly competitive, Texas high school football. The guy is 6'5 and built like a tank.

Horrible attempt at shirking your blatant idiocy. You tried to say being 6'5" hinders someones ability to run fast, which is beyond stupid. Go ahead and throw up some more emoticons to try and get the subject off of your amazing level of asshattedness. :ustupid:

Okay, Ms. Cleo. Act like you're capable of reading my mind; knowing my intentions. All I was pointing out was that Dezmon Briscoe turned out to be pretty damn good, and he ran a 4.7 out of high school. A guy that's 6'5 and runs a 4.6 is more capable of dominating than a guy that's 5'9 and runs a 4.6. Mind-blowing concept.... I know.

I don't know If I would call a team going 4-8 highly competitive. Plus, the dude is 6'5", 190 lbs. Better hope he never gets tackled, or he might snap a femur.

WR Chris Omigie 5.6 rating, Arlington (Texas) Lamar (Kansas)
Omigie had a tremendous performance at the Texas State 7-on-7 Championship before going down with a ankle injury. He has average speed, but he uses his large frame to create space and he catches everything with his long outstretched arms. During the season he caught 55 passes (65 percent of his team's total) for 937 yards and nine touchdowns. He should be a real threat anytime the Jayhawks are in the red zone or in a third-and-long situation. I expect him also to become a very good run blocker because of his size and ability to use his hands, which should create an opportunity for early playing time.

Did he play for Arlington-Lamar, or Martin? Not that it matters, but I have seen him as a Martin guy in other articles.

For a guy that's 6'5, 4.6 isn't bad. Briscoe ran a 4.7 out of high school.
The fastest man in the world is 6'5" you fracking tard.
Very :curse: response. I simply said that "for a guy that's 6'5, 4.6 isn't bad." Concern noted.
:jerkoff:
I know.
:bs:
So your brain and your fingers have a disconnect? 4.6 is bad, hope he'll improve all you want, but you made a dumbass connection between height and speed. Denial doesn't change that fact.
