Title: Someone save all these Freeman posts...
Post by: info on February 02, 2009, 09:45:30 PM
So when he's kickin in the the league, we can look back at who was bashing. Actually, it would be easier to list who views Freeman's inconsistent play with poor supporting cast...now that would be a very short list.

Position change maybe not a bad idea.

Yes, pin this thread actually.

Mark me down as one that thinks Freeman sucks.

I'll struggle to remember who Josh Freeman was in a few years.

A picture is worth a 1000 words! The only guy mooving here is Bedore. Yet this is a play fatty blames on Freeman.  Maybe his supporting cast did contribute to "his" inconsistencies! :nahnah:

tyler thigpen so you think he will be a late round pick and a third string qb who gets thrust into starting on a terrible team and does an adequate job? :dunno:
better comparo would be jamarcus russell imo.

QFT.  He gift wrapped 3 ku victories for the jayhawks. One day hawks fans will long for the days of Freeman fumbling and  throwing passes to ku players every other offensive series.

I see Freeman's career NFL statistics falling somewhere between those of Michael Bishop and Ryan Leaf.   Two Cents

I don't give a crap how he does in the NFL.  It's completely irrelevant to Snyder's program.   He's Ron Prince's boy....if he does well, Ron has something to talk about, if he does poorly same deal.

I won't spend too much time thinking about him ever again.

2. Josh Freeman, Kansas State 6-6, 248
Pre-Combine Position Rank: 3
Post-Combine Skinny: A huge winner from the workouts. Extremely athletic for a player of his size. Impressed more and more with every passing moment.
Positives: Prototype size and strength. Can move, too. … Had to try to carry bad KSU teams … experienced and young. … Huge arm.
Negatives: Still a bit unknown. Had to press too much to make things

The first two bolds are wow, the third bold is funny.

I'm not a Freeman hater.  I think he'll be a bust in the NFL, but I don't hate the guy.  I'm "wowing" at the positive things.  I'm surprised.  Especially after someone said he was 8th out of 10 in the 40.

The latest from Kiper (http://insider.espn.go.com/nfl/draft09/insider/columns/story?columnist=kiper_jr_mel&id=3934418&action=login&appRedirect=http%3a%2f%2finsider.espn.go.com%2fnfl%2fdraft09%2finsider%2fcolumns%2fstory%3fcolumnist%3dkiper_jr_mel%26id%3d3934418)

Quote
Freeman is an interesting prospect, from the standpoint that he throws accurately and has imposing size at nearly 6-foot-6, 245 pounds. However, his occasional periods of inconsistent play slot him in the boom-or-bust category, so he's a borderline mid-to-late first-rounder or early second-rounder.

Still has him as the #3 QB
