They better better have the correct voice for Cobra Commander and Star Scream.  I will not yield on this.

It will have to be someone else doing it.  The original guy is dead.

I don't think it will be.  I accepted Transformers the second I heard the correct noise during transformations.  I think what I'll be looking for in gi joe is that they shoot blue and red lazers from their guns and never hit anything the entire movie.

No excuse.  Kermit the damn Frog has his "original voice" still, and Henson has been a mouldering in the grave for a while now.

G.I. Joe already has a huge strike against it.  This is Destro  :curse: :curse:

Wasn't Star Scream in the first movie?  Low TMIQ on my part here.

Twas, but little to no talking.

Seriously Star Scream was the best Transformer period.  Should have been in charge IMHO.

<Yes I saw the cartoon movie, and that just confirms my point>

I'll vouch for the quality of the cartoon movie.  Top notch entertainment IMO.  However, I always thought Star Scream was a bit bitchy, always whining about something.

Trouble with this GI Joe is that its not about Real American Heroes--which is what the original GI Joe's were--and still are.

August 24, 2007 - Who needs A Real American Hero? Not Paramount or Hasbro it seems. The studio's live-action feature film version of G.I. Joe will no longer revolve around a top-secret U.S. special forces team but rather an international operation.

In a follow-up to their confirmation that Stephen Sommers will direct G.I. Joe, Variety offers this new description of the team: "G.I. Joe is now a Brussels-based outfit that stands for Global Integrated Joint Operating Entity, an international co-ed force of operatives who use hi-tech equipment to battle Cobra, an evil organization headed by a double-crossing Scottish arms dealer. The property is closer in tone to X-Men and James Bond than a war film."

the mere fact that Destro isn't bald nor chrome-domed in this movie will lead it to fail.

Maybe he'll lose his hair in an explosion mid-movie and be so dismayed at his new grotesque appearance that he'll grab a C3-PO helmet and start kicking people.

Was youtube even around ten years ago?  Either way, I hadn't seen them, so they were new to me.
