Jus' curious.
-
Kass has the best name, so him.
Way too many white guys on that list, fwiw.
-
We are back in 2004/2205.
Same &@#%ing cast of characters with different names.
Alan Webb will be played by Daniel Thomas.
Carson Coffman is Marc Dunn.
Klien as Meier (will need to grow out hair and get sweet set of bongos) and Kass will play the role of the tough, but caring, Brian Casey.

I would have picked on the 2205, but it's your call.
However, I think we can both agree that we are going to suck massive ass for years to come and Bill's "come back" will be thought of as one of the worst decisions in the history of college sports.

At this point, I just hope it turns out different than I see it playing out.

I voted other, dunno why.
-
LaMark Brown.
-
Does Evridge still have eligibility???
-
Nick Patton has to have eligibility left, doesn't he?
-
Old Balls is back. So don't worry about it. He'll coach em up.

Predict we are bowl eleigible whoever the QB is.....
:powertard: :ksu: :kstatriot:

You could choose a couple of those guys because i wouldn't be surprised to see a couple of them start next year. If i had to pick one i would choose Thomas. Everyone needs to stop crying and fly your flag high :kstatriot:

Tyrik....... :kstatriot:

Tyrik....... :kstatriot:
Ya maybe if Okie st. doesn't offer him.

I would guess it's some juco guy we haven't even heard of at this point, thats the way this stuff usually comes up. A name just pops up on the radar from some Juco in Utah, or Washington, or some random JUCO program.

I value your opinion, Pete, but on this we'll disagree.
I really like Klein. I don't think he's as good as Alex Smith (as some true :kstatriot: think), but I think he's a good fit for the kind of offense that Snyder plans on running. He has a decent arm, and he's deceptively mobile. He performed really well against some good competition in Colorado, so I have hope for him.
However, as for the rest of them, I agree. After some possibly misplaced optimism in Klein, I agree with everything you say.
Except for Thomas. I don't think he'd even be as good as Webb. If he's not toting the rock as a change of pace back, and he's actually taking snaps, the :cyclist: has lost his mind.

Another thing about Kass that people don't seem to remember is, there were a lot of teams that weren't even going to give him a look at QB and were wanting him to be a TE or maybe a FS or something if I remember right.
So unless someone has seen something first hand, I don't see where all the Kass support at QB comes from either.

Hartman will be the Snyderesque qb that we are looking for. He will run the counter option to perfection and we will kill all those defenses that are geared to stoping the spread!
-
Run a combo with Coffman and Hartman. Coffman can be your Chris Leak type player and then bring in Hartman as a Tebow type to really fire up the offense.
Not like we got a lot of better options.
Coffman looked good in a couple of losses too.

QFT. He showed true leadership out there, unlike a certain coddled "me-first" type star that comes to mind.
I would rather lose every game we have next year with a QB who does it the "K-State Way", than win a single game with a prima donna.

Which one will be Jeff Schwinn?
And will FITZ still want the opportunity to "ride him to victory"?

Coffman is very Schwinn-y IMO.
He had two offers: North Texas and KSU. He should have walked on like Schwinn did.
-
Collin Klein is very Schwinn-y also, IMO.
And a good foundation is being laid, I might add. RockyMountainDouche is getting in to the act early. Whipping up the tards into a tizzy in a good ol' Jeff Schwinn/Eric Crouch comparison sort of way.
This fan base needs a practice quad, Spring game wonder like Keithen Valentine to pin our unrealistic hopes to for the off-season.
It's part of being a :kstatriot:
Collin Klein could just be that guy for us in 09.
-
Well if RockyMountainDoucheNozzle likes someone they have to suck . . . becuase you know how much winning football RockyMountainDoucheNozzle saw during his backup playing days at K-State.
-
He did coach JV estroball back at K-State in the 70's.
First piece to the bi/curious puzzle?

He could be. The only thing that gives him a leg up on the competition is that he actually ran a similar spread offense in high school to the one Snyder wants to implement, so he has a leg up on the other guys.
Now, that said, I'd still take the kid from Rockhurst over anyone we've got on the roster.

Probably . . . and that explains a lot. Because if you've ever seen the inner workings of college women's basketball team you'll know exactly what I mean. My god, Matilda Mossman roaring into the practice gym at Ahearn pissed off at the world was a sight to behold. I imagine it's that way times 10 with Deb.

Coffman?

1 - If only we could get something close to a Tebow-Leak combination. As mentioned earlier it is more likely to be a Webb/Meier combo...
2 - Ron needs to take lots of the blame for the perception that Freeman was just a prima donna who could care less about the team. To me, Ron coddled him and failed to create a cohesive locker room, so there were many guys doing their own thing or in a "me-first" frame of mind. Josh just happened to be the most high profile player on the team and arguably the most coddled. Don't blame the kids for the failure of their coaching staff.
