Title: conference play predictions for KSU, ku, MU?
Post by: oneuponaggies on December 18, 2008, 09:57:27 AM
What do you think will happen?

Go ahead and make your predictions, we'll review everyone's posts once the season is over.

I'll go first:

KSU 5-11
ku 12-4
MU 10-6

I think that should be fairly accurate, you can go ahead and quote me on it.

K-State is the cream of the crop once again: 10-6
MU starts strong and then goes to Club Athena:  8-8
ku returns to its role as conference cellar dweller:  5-11

I would like to see your breakdown of conference wins/losses for KSU.  It's not that I firmly disagree with you, just curious.

I see KSU's record as the following

vs. CU 2-0
vs. NU 1-1
vs. ISU 2-0
vs. MU 1-1
vs. ku 0-2
vs Tech in Manhattan 1-0
@ aTm 0-1

vs. BU in Manhattan 0-1
vs. OU in Manhattan 0-1

For a grand total of 7-9

If ku plays like they did against UMass on a regular basis, it will be tough for them to get to 7 or 8 conference wins... but I see them getting better for a .500 conference play record.

KSU 8-8
MU 10-6
ku 8-8

we won't get swept by anyone in the north.  That's already 6 wins, then if we can sweep some of the nortards, I say we sweep CU and ku (obviously).  7-9.  At worst, but most likely 15-1

just trying to be realisitic.  Plus, with a young team they'll probably win one they shouldn't and lose one they should win.

I think OSU is probably a win.  They are playing with a short bench again and that game is late in season.

I just don't see it with such a weak frontline and inexperienced coach.

What do you think will happen?

Go ahead and make your predictions, we'll review everyone's posts once the season is over.

I'll go first:

KSU 5-11
ku 12-4
MU 10-6

I think that should be fairly accurate, you can go ahead and quote me on it.

I would like to see your breakdown of conference wins/losses for KSU.  It's not that I firmly disagree with you, just curious.

I see KSU's record as the following

vs. CU 2-0
vs. NU 1-1
vs. ISU 2-0
vs. MU 1-1
vs. ku 0-2
vs Tech in Manhattan 1-0
@ aTm 0-1
@ UT 0-1
@ OSU 0-1
vs. BU in Manhattan 0-1
vs. OU in Manhattan 0-1

For a grand total of 7-9

OU: 0-1
at ku: 0-2
at NU: 0-3
Baylor: 0-4
at CU: 1-4
MU: 1-5
at UT: 1-6
ISU: 2-6
at aTm: 2-7
TT: 3-7
ku: 3-8
at ISU: 3-9
at MU: 3-10
NU: 4-10
at OSU: 4-11
CU: 5-11

I think we win more than 1 road game this year.  Not sure I can "predict" exactly where it will occur, but I am confident that we'll win more than 1 on the road.

MU-  10-6
KSU-  9-7
ku-  9-7

Might be too optimistic for ku though.  Most teams in this league are better than UMass.

why because I don't care about redneck ball?  football, pro-wrastlin' and nascar are all lower class.  then again you are probably a fan of all 3.  I bet you drink coors as well.

lol talkin about class relating to sports.  NFL is by far and away the most profitable professional sport, and CFB is easily the most popular collge sport. Nascar is lame, but makes a crap ton of $$.

coors is "low class"?  At least say like natty or busch light (<---) the true cheap beers.

ku 11-5
MU 9-7
KSU 8-8

Giving all three teams the benefit of the doubt.  Would not be surprised to see any of the three swing two games to the negative, but would be absolutely floored to see any of the three swing two games to the positive.  Probably should say I expect:

ku 10.5 wins
MU 8.5 wins
KSU 7.5 wins

all plus or minus 1.5.

just becuz a bunch of low class people throw money away on that sport doesn't not make it low class.  btw, i have nothing at all against low class as long as you don't smell bad

As I see it:

ku

KSU: 1-0
at CU: 2-0
aTm: 2-1
at ISU: 2-2
at NU: 3-2
CU: 4-2
at Baylor: 4-3
OSU: 4-4
at MU: 4-5
at KSU: 4-6
ISU: 5-6
NU: 6-6
at OU: 6-7
MU: 7-7
at TT: 7-8
UT: 7-9

Like I've said, uk has good players but doesn't have a good team yet. Their final win/loss total will depend on how they gel in the next month. If they can't gel, then my predics may be a bit liberal.

Oklahoma is not that good. They have won close games but if we can neutralize the Griffmeister than we will be in good shape. I see 8-8 as the worst.
