They suck w/o Bush/Cantwell.

Seriously, that was a scary (s) offensive team.

With an offense that good...you have to have five complete badasses up front.  They did.  Their OL was amazing.

I think they had 3 or 4 Seniors, 2 outland candidates.

People who don't understand football, don't understand the importance of the O-line/D-line.

The ONLY reason we were in this game is because our D-line played their asses off and our LB/secondary made play after play after play.

We couldn't get any pressure with the front four, or hell even when we blitzed, but the D-line sucked up enough blocks to let the LB make some great plays.  We were very much assignment sound in the LB/Secondary areas from what i saw.

Lots of open field tackles by watts/archer/walker.  The secondary IMHO did a great job of taking away the big play.  There was a reason we played off the recievers all night and it had alot to do with the eventual result of them only scoring 24.

The only weird thing I saw with the defense was continually blitzing Garvin.  It just wasn't too effective.

This team is excellent at tackling...at least compared to the last couple of seasons.  It seems like players that know they won't make the tackle still go balls out and try to at least get a hand on the ballcarrier, which slows them down enough for pursuit to make the play.

the only poor tackling attempt i saw was on the fake punt.. it would have been a turnover if #16 (somewhere in the teens) could have made the tackle...

We never brought an unexpected blitz.  We always gave them time to adjust.  Garvin was always getting blocked on a mismatch too.  Him vs. TE.  Him vs. RB.  Him vs. RT.

Why not just bring Archer or something?  Then again Archer was an absolute beast today in the open field.

That was Erker.  He made a weak attempt on the 1st TD too.

Nothing agaist the kid, but he's no Watts.

Do you mean #16 Yamon Figurs....The guy getting ready to return the punt....  He did make the tackle.  It saved the TD.
