Title: A Look at Gardner-Webb
Post by: catsfan20052006 on December 13, 2008, 11:40:28 AM
The Runnin' Bulldogs are 2-6 (1-1) with a win at Radford and losses at Virginia Tech, at Oklahoma, at South Carolina, at Liberty and at Wichita State. The Runnin' Bulldogs return 4 starters off of a team that went 16-16 (9-7 in the Atlantic Sun) in 2007-08 and beat Kentucky.

The Runnin' Bulldogs are lead by G's Grayson Flittner and Aaron Linn and F Nate Blank. Flittner averages 16 points/game (co leads the team), 3 rebounds/game and 5 assists/game (leads the team). Linn averages 16 points/game (co leads the team), 4 rebounds/game and 2 assists/game. Blank averages 11 points/game, 3 rebounds/game and 4 assists/game. F Joshua Henley leads the team in rebounding with 9 rebounds/game.

The strength of this team is in the backcourt and they've got the depth to go along with Flittner and Linn. Their problems will come when they're misfiring from the perimeter. If the Cats can defend the three well they could roll in this game.
