So how does one become a KSU super fan or a KSU celebrity?  Is there a signup sheet somewhere?  I don't really recognize KSU celebrities on this list.  I usually think of folks like Ernie Barrett, John Welfald, Jim Colbert as KSU celebrities.

Would anyone here recognize you if they saw you there?  If not, then no.  You can get there though.  Also, Wefald, Barret and Colbert are, like, Z list ksu celebs.

GatGeek does have a high post to noticability ratio.  It's sort of a Kathy Lee Gifford type of noticabilty however.   :frown:

You are a big name though.  Like, if I saw you, and we were chatting...and you were all, "I'm yosh!" I would be all, "GMAFB, :highfive:" and you would be all, "Um, okay :weird:" and we would laugh at the akwardness of it.  Pretty elite.

I'm just sad someone would have to think twice before recognizing Sky as a legit K-State celeb.  Anyone who was in OOD East that fateful day Wooly's last year will ALWAYS consider Sky a celeb.  Always.  And Dramane for that matter.

I plan on getting tix to home games around 2015 when I secure a job at that bio-defense thingy and move back to Manhattan.  When I do, I'll work to build deep, enduring relationships between ksufaners that we'll all cherish for a lifetime.

I mentioned the infamous citrus gathering at his townhouse.

The stress of the GP thing is getting to him though.  He is fatter than Brew.  So Long needs to cut his fat intake for his own good.

You'd know me right away.  I just look like a Yosh.

For reals, everyone calls me Yosh IRL.  If I'm at a sportsbar watching a k-state event, and one of my buddies calls me Yosh (like yo-yo btw, not like Josh, my real name) random EMAWers turn to see.  Pretty elite feeling IMO.

Pete and I also have determined that everytime Dom makes a play, we can yell "NEEKER!"   People who are naturally dropping the race card do not approve.

Let's get a ruling.

Seriously, we need a ruling on this.  Last night when we were yelling "NEEKER" I felt like there may have been some misunderstanding amongst those around us.

We were like, "Dude, it's his nickname..." but I think they may have thought we were saying something else... :dunno:

it will come to you.

you have about a year.

I would, but it seems I can't keep up.  See, I look around the board and all the cool kids have like a gazillion and one posts.  Then I look at the times and every major poster is posting for 18 hours a day.  And I'm just trying to figure out if I should quit my job, because there is no way I can keep up with that pace working a full time job.  What does everyone here do for a living that they can post that much?

I'm at a loss, because I really do want to be an elite "KSU Celebrity."  If not for actually doing something productive for KSU, but if I could call myself a "celebrity" by just achieving membership in an online message board clique, that would be sweet.

Well, you can continue to cry about it and have lksuiq or you can try to get better.  Pretty much your only options bro.

Yeah?  How hard are the cool kids trying (to maintain clique status) when they average close to 20 posts a day for more than a year?  That's a lot of &@#%ing work.  Your average is way low though.  What's up with that?

The age old argument of mocking someone for posting too much by posting about it.

Next you will make fun of someone's user name.

This is not elite level besmirching.

Most of us have real jobs (you know, not like "can i take your order???" jobs), so we have these things called desks.  Pretty exciting, really.

But seriously....you're trying too hard to be "the rebel who doesn't care about posts and message board identity."  Just be yourself, bra.

Yeah, it may not be elite level besmirching, I'm not that good at it.  I don't mean to mock someone for posting too much.  I just tire of the notion of 'ksu celebrity' and the general clique-iness by some on the site.

Pete
LimestoneOutcropping
Rusty
Howard Richman (<-WTF?)
Schyler Thomas
A former KSU SBVP
A member of Mrs. Rusty's kickball team (not a KSU fan (<-WTF?))

Very class reunion-ish.  :kstatriot:

So, KAT fanz, what celebrities did you spot last night?

Allstar lineup right there.

Fitz was hanging in our section before the game.  Limestone and I extended a hearty greeting to him.

details please

I mentioned the infamous citrus gathering at his townhouse.

The stress of the GP thing is getting to him though.  He is fatter than Brew.  So Long needs to cut his fat intake for his own good.

QFT.

The guy has really just let it go after the Patterson fiasco.  Kind of sad really.

LOL, I would give you that point, except the extremely hksuiq'ers start threads and post replies like " KSU celebrities in section 107 and 108 last night".  If it was a topic about seeing Chuckie Williams or someone at the game, that's cool.  But when I open the thread to feed my People-magazine-KSU-celebrity-jones, all I get is this message board clique giving each other virtual pats on the back for hanging with the cool kids.  It's just a let-down is all.  I had high hopes for this board.  And I share the same general distaste for gopowercat.com.

"lol, thats like me coming out with a frank martin sighting at a ksu game.

Kinda the point.  The question was "So, KAT fanz, what celebrities did you spot last night?"

I spotted Lon getting ready to walk out of a PT's Pub.  That by far a bigger sighting than Rusty seeing himself on Thursday night.

That's my biggest K-State sighting since seeing Pat Bosco while the rest of the team and coaches were out here for the Thanksgiving tournament.  Now, I know, some people would say Pat Bosco doesn't have as much celebrity appeal as the team and coaches...but they don't have a part of The University named after them!

I once saw Scott Weiland at a Stone Temple Pilots concert.
