But as long as Merriweather & Kent are playing 10+ minutes a game, we aren't going to be very successful.
& chill out everyone, we already knew what was going to happen this season.
-
CM helped KSU stay in the game. Kent needs to keep his warm ups on for the rest of the season.
-
Yea wait til next year. We always used to say that but THIS time we mean it! :dancin:
-
Yeap..Kent will be gone, and these guys will get a little better :hope:

yup, CM had that dude on lockdown
-
sad thing is, does anyone actually know if CM is a decent shooter? i've only seen him shoot once in the past two years. he's just an offensive liability just like Sutton.
-
Chris did a great job.
-
Merriweathers minutes were valuable. Although it's sad to say, Kent appears to be a huge liability at this point. He never looked this bad last season from what I remember.

are you serious?

I have to agree about the addition by subtraction that will occur next year. With Kent gone and Judge and Kelly down low, we should have a more athletic frontline, plus Merriewether will be off scholly and McGruder and Russell will probably eat up all/most of his minutes - with the added bonus that both of those guys can score. This year will just have to be ugly. Seeing as how Awaji and Herrera don't deserve schollies, missing out on 'spoon/kadji/shipman and walker going pro was the worst case scenario that came true.

you need to get a new catch phrase and just answer the fu.cking question. i can't afford tickets to bball games and haven't seen him in warm ups and he never shoots in the games so i don't fu.cking know.

cm is the worst shooter on the team. happy?

I think Colon would have something to say about that.

if that's the truth, that's all it could have taken.

Kent is this year's Stew. He's a great guy to hate and its easy to say he shouldn't ever see the floor. But the reality is if he doesn't play better and give us solid minutes within what he's capable of doing, we aren't going to win many games. I'm not saying he's going to be one of our top 4 or 5 players, but he has a role on this team and if he doesn't fill it we're going to struggle. He and Pullen playing poorly right now is really costing this team.

no he wouldn't. colon has a pretty good 15 ft jumper that CM dreams about.

I guess it's just the shots from three feet that give Colon fits.

He gets all hurried and panicky with people around him. He really does have a non-embarrasing mid-range jump shot.

Not really, watch any games this year?

Somewhere along the way Kent started to believe he was going to be a factor with this team. The sooner he goes back to playing the way he did last year, the better off this team will be. He is a fine minutes eater, who can get a rebound or two and make a bucket from time to time. He looks as if he thinks he should be making plays out there, which couldn't be further from reality.
Just come in play hard, shoot when given an open look, and crash the boards. Oh, and try not to turn it over everytime you touch it. If he does that, then he will be off everyone's sh*t list.

fyp. kent likes to play golf. not basketball. basketball just pays the bills.

Does Kent decide when and how people are substituted? I dunno maybe he's like Pete Rose player/coach? :dunno:

i don't agree. ksu last year really didn't have anyone to take stewart's minutes. so when he sucked, they just had to hope he would stop sucking (and when he played well, ksu was good).
this year, there are 4-5 options that could take kent's minutes. colon/anderson/samuels/sutton/herrera don't have the exact same skill set, but then, kent's skill set isn't that valuable.
it is legitimate to question why martin seems determined to run so much through kent this year.

Last year, he was the best passing big we had. This year, he's arguably the worst. Maybe he passes well in practice (kind of like players shooting well in practice but sucking in games.) :dunno:

Yeah, I'm not sure what to think. His TOs have been unreal.
-
what does Kent bring to the table that our other bigs don't.
offense: no. Anderson has better offense than Kent.
defense: no. Anderson and Kent are both equally terrible on defense.
misc: maybe. Kent being an experienced Senior might not hurt us as much on the floor in other areas.
at the end of the day, he really sucks and needs to spend more time on the bench. too bad b/c it's obvious Frank was looking for him to step up this year and has given him the chance to.

You would think that, but it seems like Kent has regressed. Way too many horrible passes to nobody, and that sorry bastard keeps trying to create shots for himself for some unknown reason. If he just came in and played a role like last year, he's not that big of a liability. I think Frank hyping up so much during the offseason has gone to his tiny little head.
