Pitt pursues Blair
Schenley basketball star DeJuan Blair, a 6-foot-7 forward, continues to be a high recruiting target for Pitt, which has received three verbal commitments for next season.
Kansas State, Indiana, Tennessee, Florida and Miami reportedly also have an interest in Blair, who said he isn't likely to reveal a college choice until after the season. Blair scored 15 points and grabbed 14 rebounds for Schenley in a 60-58 loss to Lower Merion last season in the PIAA Class AAAA championship game.
Meanwhile, Pitt received an official visit this month from 6-1 Chris Wright, from St. John's (Washington), who has been mentioned as one of the nation's top five high school point guards.
Georgetown is believed to be at the top of Wright's list of schools.
