Title: Where we lost the game.
Post by: nicname on November 29, 2008, 03:20:23 AM
The obvious is the FG%, but I'm not talking about that.

Sutton is our best perimeter/man-on defender, IMHO he should have been on #23 Meeks? all night long.  I understand that with all the pressing guys get switched but I don't think #23 goes off like he did in the first half with Sutton in his grill consistantly.

If there was one possesion I would like to have back it was the coast to coast miss in traffic by Clemente in the final seconds.  That was an obvious time to work for a good shot.

Still, I like the fight this team has obviously taken on the attitude of their coach and that is a good team.  They will continue to improve.  It is gonna be an exciting year.

Clemente going coast to coast was probably a higher percentage shot than we would have gotten trying to work for one.

Layups always got my grandpa out too.  Didn't know you get get Clemente out by hitting layups too.  Some were tough, but he has to hit those, especially since the katz can't hit from anywhere else.

Fun team, way more funner than the football team.   :skillz:

Clemente is going to have a career day against fatty sherron collins, though.

when our steadiest player has 8 turnovers, we shoot 36% and our opponent shoots 69%... don't care if it's kentucky, iowa state or centenary... you're going to lose that game

the fact that our defense (save two or three backdoors) was spectacular... almost gave us a chance to win, and that's a very good sign for the league upcoming

Sure doesn't help when we give up 24 points in 1 half to a guy and the rest of the team can't do anything... This is where I give credit to DSutton. Even though Meeks still got like 12 points in the 2nd half Sutton did a great job of slowing him down and not letting him get that many good looks. Sutton I think is our best defender without a doubt after his performance last night.
