Title: we ride him when he's down...
Post by: blackman-era-front-rower on November 29, 2008, 01:36:48 AM
...but what about 'big lou' again tonite?

8pts on 3-3 fg and 2-2 ft... 3 rebounds 2 of which were offensive boards... and a bit of a solid low post move developing

kudos to him for the improvement he has made over the past two years!

Doesn't look like he's gotta jack hammer rammed up his ass every time he touches the ball = definite improvement

Uh...was that disturbing, graphic imagery necessary?

Little worried about that being the "analogy" that came to mind.  No pun intended.  Seriously though, love Lou's hustle and hard work; don't hate him being in the game at all anymore.  And he seems to come up with plays when we really need the bucket.  Good job so far.

He is doing better.  How awful he was last year always surprised me after his freshman year where he actually contributed some.  Would like to see more defensive rebounds from him, or at least more than offensive.  He can rack up a kerbillion of those just trying to put back misses.  Much better effort and mobility.  He's like the Hansblow of crapty puerto rican bigs.

How 'bout his help defense on Clemente's guy 22 feet from teh basket as his own guy (PP) was heading to the rim for the game-sealing dunk?

Yeah, but really, he definitely looked like the closest thing we have to a competent big last night.

His foul trouble hurt us.

Agree, but let's not pretend there's not plenty of classic Colon-tastic moments ahead.

If the win, yes.

If not it will be extremely frustrating.

colon head-down, high-knee sprinting up and down the floor is more or less my favorite part of every game.

Dude looks like he towing a freaking plow behind him.  He's exerting a ton of effort, yet he's just creeping down the court.  Love the effort though.
