Title: A Look at Oakland
Post by: catsfan20052006 on November 24, 2008, 02:20:17 PM
The Golden Grizzlies are 1-3 with a win at Oregon and losses at Cleveland State, Syracuse and Iowa. The Golden Grizzlies went 17-14 (11-7 in the Summit League) in 2007-08.

The Golden Grizzlies are lead by G's Johnathon Jones and Erik Kangas. Jones averages 19 points/game (leads the team), 5 rebounds/game and 3 assists/game (leads the team). Kangas averages 16 points/game, 4 rebounds/game and 2 assists/game. The team's leading rebounder is C Keith Benson who averages 6 rebounds/game.

This is a VERY dangerous basketball team. They're going to be the favorites to win their conference and with a non conference schedule that includes K-State, Oregon, Syracuse and Iowa you know they're going to be tested. This is a team that returns everybody and lead the league in scoring, rebounding, turnover margin and blocked shots last season. Be careful with this one Cats!

I think we'll take them. And hopefully, judging by their record, that means we'll beat Oregon as well. A win over Kentucky this weekend and against Oregon later would take two question marks off my schedule.  :dancin:

Oakland lost @ Cleveland State, a team we beat on the road.  Oakland comes here.  We should not struggle w/ this team, IMO.

Never compare games....Thats a tard post at its finest!  I think that we should beat Oakland not because they lost at CSU and we won their, but we are KSU a Big XII and they are some team in the Mid-Con or whatever it is called these days.
