Here's the only way I can describe it:
remember last year when Beasley and Walker were both out of the game and you were watching it and were like "wtf?!" and the offense looked bad but then pullen would hit a shot...but you weren't really that pissed because you knew that Beasley and/or Walker woud be coming in shortly.....it's like that 'cept Beasley and Walker won't ever be coming in.
pullen was good, clemente was decent (didn't see the "speed", kind of looked like Pullen last year), jamar looked athletic (terrible 1st half) but like most will need to work on his defense, Ron still has nice moves that end up in the other player blocking his shot, colon is skinnier but sucks the same, Kent is Kent, fred brown still has the slowest feet in the big 12, awaji has a nice build but that's all I can really say about him, it's just our luck that we learn how to give entry passes to the post this year when our posts have no idea what to do with it.

KSU had 1(!) dunk the entire game.

I thought Colon was improved from last year, made some decent post moves and got a couple of buckets he normally doesn't get.
Kent can't finish, looked bleh.
Fred Brown sucks. Every time he was in the game he did something stupid.
Surprised Awaji came in so late, but then realized why.
Clemente was meh, should improve as the season goes on.
Biggest LOL moment was Luis pushing the guy in the back from behind when he attempted to dunk it...

I think we need more time to see what the kids can do... this was there first game in front of a "crowd" this year. Just shaking some more rust off... I'll wait about 5 games in until I judge this team. Remember we weren't that great at the beginning of last year.

still, consoling myself w. the knowledge that y'all will suck for a long time.

We have similar problems w/ guard play and lack of front court and scoring ability.
But this year they aren't accustomed to losing every single game, they aren't all adjusting to a new coach who smells like glen fiddich, the front court is actually better.
I'd say the team is right at it 06-07 level. With a week ku the north is pretty much a nice and easy ride in comparisons to seasons past. We aren't good by any means, but to say we suck worse than 06-07 is not accurate.

9-7 wouldn't be too much of a stretch though. This conference will not be very good.

All 3 of those options are better than Prince. Fran would suck here though.
