After witnessing a complete ass-beating today from Texas Tech, I'm just here to say that I've been wrong about this ku football program. Last season was a hell of a year... but I'll be honest - it was thanks in large part to a soft schedule, against slightly above avg. teams, who ku was capable of beating. That being said, last year's version of ku was much better than the '08 version. The losses of Bill Young (d-coordinator), Aqib Talib, James McClinton, Marcus Henry, Anthony Collins, etc, have been much more of a factor than I was willing to admit.
I think the ku/K-State game next week is going to be a good game. After watching a little of K-State/OU, I'm not sure how our defense is going to stop you guys. It's amazing that Colorado was able to hold K-State to 13 points. If the ku team that played today against Tech, and a few weeks ago, against Iowa State, shows up, ku's going to get beat.

What's with the fans? That place cleared out at halftime like someone set off a bomb

Does this mean you're retracting the declared moral victory from last week? If so, we need to set up a presser.
-
Not at all, Joker. The fact ku kept the OU game respectable after today's performance makes it even more of a moral victory.
-
Stunned ku got smashed. Best entertainment @ today's game was the MC SS Update.

I flipped the channel during the commercial of our assbeating only to hear several ku fans talking crap on their own team while walking out with more than a quarter left.
W. T. F!?

Don't worry. Kansas State is the perfect team to get off your slump and look amazing again (see, ISU, NU games last year).
We'll lose by 20+. Guarantee it. All u gotta do is run your spread, hand the ball off, throw the ball occassionaly, and go for it on 4th down. Also keep our special teams at bay. Our offense is inconsistent and can't run the damn ball.
ku wins by 20+.

Surprising. It looked like most of them walked out before halftime.

$2.4 million a year... Post Rating (55 votes)
... to consistently lose close games on the road to teams of equal or slightly less talent. Mangino and ku's coaching staff have a knack for getting out-coached, especially in the 2nd half of big football games. Look no further than South Florida and yesterday's game against Nebraska. Every other series or so I have a flashback of the Quartaro years. You know, those times when it's 2nd and short and instead of punching it up the middle for a yard we try to do something cute and end up getting sacked or turning it over. I'm just sick of it.
This was the year to really show that ku football has improved. Instead, all we've proved is that last year was a one-year luck of the draw. Seven years into it and ku still doesn't have more than a handful of top athletes. Every single time there's a punt or kick return I have to hold my breath. It's ridiculous... Seven years and our coaching staff can't find a stable kick returner? Pathetic.
Oh, and can anyone figure out why Chris Harris didn't see the field yesterday when Patterson went out? I realize Harris has struggled a bit this season, but my God, why would the coaching staff rely on Anthony Davis in one of our biggest games of the season? He's an inexperienced redshirt freshman. Surely the coaching staff hasn't completely given up on Harper and Harris... or have they? I honestly don't know what this coaching staff is doing anymore.

So, is MM now a coaching genius for beating an avg MU team? My guess is MU loozez their next too, two.
I think benji is beside himself and is now a Gino-lite.

Very good chance moo finishes the season at 9-5.
Next year is the year, if Coach $2.4 milllion for .511 can't win the North next year, they're never going to win it.
