Also, Erickson said the Kansan and the chancellor’s office had split the cost of a full-page ad that’s to appear in today’s student newspaper protesting continued use of the existing chant. The Kansan and the chancellor’s office each paid $570 to cover the cost of the ad, said Jordan Herrmann, Kansan business manager.

What a joke of a university.

Did you see all of the comments at the bottom of the article?  There were like 40 of them, ku fans have no lives.  "Come on you guys, I really like this chant better, let's do it gang!  YAY!"  :ku:

Pretty sure they rigged the voting, so the option saying to "keep it" or "all the other options suck" was way ahead when I saw the poll.

What happened to "make 'em weep?"  Thought that one would win in a landslide.

I love that the university is trying to cut down on "swearing," while last Saturday I listened to Fatgino call one of his players a "son of a b1tch" and said "you're a stupid piece of sh1t" and "I'll put your ass back on the practice squad, &@#%er!"  (all to 1 player during a tv timeout.  yilkes)

Since they steal all of our ideas (Ahearn design, 'reading' newspaper when introducing opposing team, etc), why didn't they ask us?
