So, he doesn't make a ton of early offers like all other, morally inferior programs do. Plus, he doesn't lie to kids and thell them they're going to play positions that they ain't just to get them to commit. Some on this board seriously need to show some patience.

I'm guessing this is tongue in cheek. I can't remember if you love or hate this guy. I'm going to assume hate.

but, patience is one thing, though, consistency and treating a recruit with respect are another topic entirely but lets talk about it now...

offering early, accepting a verbal, then telling a kid before signing day you won't accept his LOI unless he agrees to walk-on

offering late, then doing the same as above.

I know you are content with crap athletes but I'm not. I want athletes and talent. Prince has delivered neither since Freeman.

Post by: catzacker on October 23, 2008, 08:45:12 AM: our recruiting, from a national rivals rankings stand point has remained in the 30's for like 6 years now. hasn't really improved under Prince; same busts under Prince as during Snyder's final years, same juco/hs guys not making it, pretty much same record.

But it is a brilliant tactic to place the blame for bad recruiting on the recruits themselves ("kids these days can't handle the truth"), IMO. Truly nothing bad that has happened to the program is Ron Prince's fault...
