Title: There is no mystery player.
Post by: opcat on September 06, 2006, 10:36:51 PM
Why hide the info ?

Pissclams needs to be thrown into a nude gay nightclub and lock the door behind him.

I think there will be an addition to the team, but whether is a transfer from another school, or a high school kid coming in, no one knows.

Fitz is being a massive tool by teasing his PAYING subscribers with it for, what, weeks?  It's amazing that something that should have been such a cause for joy (had it been a surprise, say, a week and a half from today and none of us had had time to agonize about it) has turned into such a miserably endless tease.  Enough!  If you can't tell us who it is, then our knowing that you know doesn't really do us any good.

Edit: I removed some other inflammatory remarks. ;-)  My apologies.

Fitz said this week the reason for not releasing the information is that he doesn't want to get on Huggins bad side.  Huggins doesn't want the news to get out because other schools might try to get the recruit.  However, Fitz also said that Self and ku know about the recuit and may make an effort to step in and steal him away.  He also said that ku is surprised at how successful Huggins has been at quickly turning KSU around.

The mystery recruit is real, the only fear is that he gets stolen away.

In Huggy we trust.

They're concerned.   :shy:

How would ku steal him away with no scholarships left? How can ku be suprised at the quick "turn around" when KSU has yet to even practice under Huggy?  Honestly, KSU will be a lot better under Huggy, but some of you (mainly Fitz) sound stupid.

They're surprised at how successful Huggins has been at bringing in real talent, something KSU hasn't had in a while.  I am sure in their arrogant minds they thought Huggins wouldn't be able to recruit to KSU.

I don't know about ku's scholarships, but that just what Fitz said.

I don't think they are suprised he can do it.  Huggy is a good coach with a FF under his belt.  I think it was expected.  I think suprise would be what Drew has done at Baylor, pull in All-Americans while on probabtion at a strict Baptist university.  To say its suprising at KSU would be selling yourself short.  I know of one ku coach that isn't suprised at all.  He even commented when Huggins was hired that KSU's best years are in the near future, and its not like you guys don't have tradition in basketball.  I think Fitz is just grasping at things to keep GPT.com happy these days.

Despite what they might say, I still find it a little difficult to believe they are not somewhat surprised by what he has done in so little time.  There were some national analysts who thought he could make KSU good, but he wouldn't be able to attract big time players.

But I agree about Drew down at Baylor, that has been incredible.
