Oden would kind of suck, because he's injured for half the year, and Bennett is probaly better.

the info about Jermaine Maybank that was posted earlier. Needless to say, this is not the mystery dude, just someone who popped up to replace Brewer and it's not even for certain if he will be admitted to grad school so I hadn't posted anything about it. We may know tomorrow. He falls under that new weird if you have a degree and a year of eligibility, you can transfer and play right away rule. He will provide depth as a combo guard if he gets into K-State. I'm sure the coaches aren't pleased that this got out.

As much as everyone wants to believe a five star player is heading for Manhattan I can assure one and all that it is not Oden, Cook, Mayo, Walker, or Crittenton. The last legitimate rumored player was Maybank, the guard from St. Johns, and if he is indeed the mystery transfer, then he will not help us out at all. As a junior he was something like 10th or 11th in minutes played on a pretty average team and scored very little. I guess time will tell but at this point I am neither optimistic or holding my breath...
