Title: Think we lost some fans yesterday?
Post by: greasd up deaf guy on September 03, 2006, 02:38:48 PM
I'd have to say yes. I'm sure a few bandwagoners won't return anytime soon.
This coaching hire still leaves me scratching my head. I'm certainly not jumping off the bandwagon, but I have no idea what the administration was thinking.
Now to the game:
I'm glad I didn't make the trip, because I may have induced alcohol poisoning after watching that mess.
The radio broadcast was good/bad.
Good? Weber. He's fantastic. Great insight, commentary, and vision.
Bad? Thompson. He's atrocious. I've never heard a commentator make so many errors.
Will someone please tell me how a former offensive lineman can't make a line any better than that?
How does a guy with Alsup's kind of talent not figure it out in what.....9 years on campus?
Who's the new PA guy? How did he sound?
My new game by game prediction.....
*Flat Atl: Not as good of a team as Illl St. KSU picks it up a bit and wins 21-7.
*Marshall: Knockdown dragout. I absolutely don't know what to make of this game. I'd have to say Marshall by a FG. Dances on the powercat again. Prince goes Suge Knight all over someone's ass.
*Louisville Kilgore Trout's first on-site visit to the Prince Era is a tough one to handle. Trout goes to Mae's and drinks 4-10 pints of Guinness. Also drinks some Maalox. Oh, and the game will suck too.
*Baylor "Air Bear" rises and does something I never thought I'd witness (and won't unless someone takes a shaky handycam from the stands). Baylor wins by 14.
*Okey State KSU wins a cripple fight by a field goal. Hunter Orange still looks stupid.
*Nebraska Corn rolls us (mmmm.....corn rolls). Not because they are that great. Huskers by 17.
*Mizzou Mizzou finally breaks the streak. Not against Snyder, daddy still owns all things Mizzou. Prince starts to feel some heat and no fan alive can fathom our coach being outcoached by Stinkel. Mizzou by 10.
*Iowa State I have no idea what to make of this game. I remember my trip to Lames in 2001. We bounced the Clowns 42-3 and I heard many fans leaving the stadium say "We will never beat Bill Snyder." I guess I'll have to predict an ISU win of 2 points.
*Colorado Cripple fight #2. KSU wins because Cu is baaaaaad. 7-3.
*Texas
*ku Another one I have no idea what to make of. My best guess is it's close and since ku has the worst home venue in the north, I give KSU a chance. KSU by a field goal.
I'm going to go drink now.

We're glad you didn't make the trip too. As for your question.....I hope so and I hope they stay gone.

Note: despite the negatives, I was quite impressed with Campbell and the ST. Let's hope that week 1-2 improvement is great and my cynicism goes away

Sadly, I think we need them for the health of the program. The ones I can do without are the "house divided" license plate jerkoffs and the "i like ku basketball and ksu football" idiots.

Mizzou will win by more than 10 and Okie State will beat us as well.  Other than that probably close to correct.

Your faith in Okie Lite is disturbing.

Thus, you hope that KSU football stays crappy this year.  Because bandwagon fans come with wins, and leave with losses.  It's not a good sign for a program when it's losing bandwagon fans.

Personally, I'll take as many bandwagon fans as we can get.

I agree. More fans=more revenue and more LOUD in the stadium. Even bandwagoners make noise.
I really was being facetious. I wish I had been there. Circumstances didn't allow it yesterday.
I read some griping on gopowertard about the PA. Anybody have an opinion?

I attend one school and root for the other. I fit right in with this crowd.

Nope. If I began supporting Kstate athletics just because I went to Ksu for my degree I'd be a bandwagon fan.

There can be only one.

So will you hide your degree in shame?  :jerkoff:

Why do you fail to comprehend that I like KSU academically, just not athletically? I say this all the time:

You'll find that degree on my wall. Proudly.

You won't find a Kstate jersey in my closet.

Learn.

Spin it all you want, douchenozzle.
A guy who attends one school and roots for its rival=stupid. The only way I'd give you a pass was if you were a grad student with a degree from the school you're rooting for.

Homerun by Kilgore, he just knocked it right out of the stadium with that post.

There were 2 people that came in 5 minutes late to the game, and then left after Illinois State kicked a field goal.

If we lost fans due to yesterday it's called pruning.

I'm predicting 41k for FIU.  ku will outdraw us next Saturday.
