I e-mailed the Peta lady and this is the response I got along with my e-mail. I don't really understand what she was getting at, quoting her personal friend Buddha no less, but...mehh.

Subject: Thank the chicken gods
Dear Ms., Vergerio,
My name is Harrison Beck and I'm a chicken. I want to thank the chicken
gods (yes, we have several) for my life being spared by the faithful
Kansas State Wildcat fans. I was destined for the slaughterhouse when I was
whisked away in a heated auto to the most exciting atmosphere I've ever
encountered. I was in awe of the loud applause and I wondered at the bright lights.
I could not get enough of the jubilation of the crowd. Then, to top it
all off, I was thrown free into the air flying (well gliding but who are you
to judge) across the court. The fans stood in ovation of my amazing
efforts. But, this is not all about the one experience. I was destined for a
tasty, juicy, bucket of the Colonel's extra crispy but now get to spend the
rest of my days in idle comfort pecking around a dorm room. Let me tell you,
the pickings are much better then the dusty baths I used to have to take. I
also Hated pecking in the dirt all day. Now, I get left over pizza, bugs,
pot seeds, you name it. This is truly the chicken life. I only wish
more of my feathered friends could join me. Alas, I read your letter. I
cannot believe you are against the freedom of my family and friends. If it was
up to you we would all be succulent, delicious pieces of the Colonel's
Original recipe or maybe even the Colonel's new Honey BBQ
wings.....mmmm.....those wings sure do make my tummy growl. Have you tried the Fiery Hot Buffalo
wings? Truly a delight like no other. But I digress, please rescind
your letter calling for the end of my kinds freedom.
Yours in chicken bliss,
Harrison the tasty free chicken

Who the hell is this Cole Aldrich person? Is he even black?

So tell us, Mr. Sports coaching guru, how would you have turned this year's Cats into national title contenders?
Glad you asked!
In football:
On the feild
More plays involving the fullback blocking the linebackers so our running backs can cut back across the field.
We need to throw the deep ball.
I think we need to use our tight ends more, perhaps in post patterns or in "underneath" routes.
No more 3-4, the players know its a "failed scheme" that can never work.
More defensive play calls that involve sacking the quarter back, such as "twists" or "penetration".
I would also like to see us call all out blitzes while having tight coverage down field, that always seemed like a good idea to me, but we never use that one.
More touchdown scoring punt/kickoff returns. I was thinking we could have the whole team block for one guy while he runs toward the right side.
Off the field
No more jewelry or hats!
No rap music or anything else that angries the blood.
We used to have more INXS for pregame, I think that helped morale.
I would like Ron Prince to do less talking and more walking!
I would recruit big AND fast players. We can always use more 4 and 5 stars.ree
I think Josh Freeman should be a better leader, maybe he could butt the linemen's heads or something.
I think I explained my basketball strategy, but I can sum it up in four words:
PLAY ABOVE THE RIM.

LOL, good thread. My first post was pretty boring. It was in response to a post asking what the bball board was called before Huggy:
LOL, before Huggins there weren't any KSU basketball boards.
My second post was better:
This dude I work with claims to be tight with the Hughes family. This is probably total BS cuz this guy is usually full of crap but he claims Tyler was involved in a hazing incident involving tampons and freshman boys. You fill in the blanks. If this dude right (and I doubt he is) then this crap is being blown way out of proportion.

The Shocker used to be all informative. Better now imo.
-
it was an ok post, not great. you should have referenced and compared afeli to wasted scholarships past and present. that would have bumped it to great.
i started off by offering rusty posting advice. incredibly presumptious in hindsight.

That kind of stuff happens a lot to everyone. You never know who is gonna turn out elite. Plus, everyone sucks at the begining unless they've gotten prior BBS experience.

This was my first message board. Anybody else??

Coach Asbury was there too, unfortunately he was standing up against the gym wall when I took this photo and it just happened to be brown.
in my defense, at least i used both ms_paint and an emoticon in it.

the thing is, i knew rusty was elite. i used to only respond to threads with rusty, trips, or _fan posts.

2nd post here, great foreshadowing (??) given the state of affairs we are in.
Outside of Freeman, Prince is going after no one but crap. All our good HS recruits were from Snyder.
Am I wrong?
very historic email

I would like to mucho SANCHEZ her!!!!
This in response to a linked thread from the WZ which was ostensibly from Claire Coggins. That link must have been 3 or 4 crashes ago, because the link now goes to a WZ thread by bookcat about hillary. I want to stress to the utmost degree that my quote was not about hillary. I'd wipe crap on her face but she in now way has earned a Sanchez.

I was under the impression that a Preffered walkon was like a greyshirt in football and the player would recieve a scholarship in a year or at semester provided they stick it out.
that was dissapointing.

Pretty funny imo.

well it's pretty obvious. Beasley is most likely going to be the #1 pick so he'll go on that. Walker wants to be in the NBA so if he can make first round money he'll go on that. If the scouts will say Walker is a first round pick, Walker will likely test the waters. It's a good thing the NBA NEVER drafts on potential or else Walker would be gone for sure :blindfold:
meh at best

Damn... I'm getting old. This is a joke right. I mean... this is retarded isn't it?

Make him change his screen name to some great anti-ku slogan, and someone come up with a great signature to go with that new name.
The Booyahku challenge. I think Booyah was the first to have his name changed and sig forced.

Actually that's a fairly large football. Probably bigger than most...

Mayo is an idiot. If he doesn't come to K-State then frack him. the guy is a scum bag. i would rather have people that want to be at kstate. i just feel sorry for him because he is being used like that. i dont even want him he is a one and done. i learned how to do that on niner nation :D
Oh man... back in the good ol' days.
-
Yes. It is also why Freeman isn't really doing anything special. Most QB's should be able to do what Freeman is asked to do. It is also why you guys are getting spanked when playing decent competition.
What is Freeman going to do when Moreira, Figures and Nelson aren't around to make little dump passes 50 yard gains?
Nothing special just B!G 12 offensive player of the week, most QBs should be able to do that. Especially the ku QBs because they have several, that are all the Heisman hopefuls.
-
They freaking announced to the crowd that he broke the record and they all gave him a rousing applause. What the hell does he want a statue next to Ernie? :eyeseeyou:

"I would change the colors to "field turf" green and try to make us invisible to the other team. 50 yard touchdown bombs to receivers every play on offense would be sweet not to mention very hard to win against us."
This was post #1 and in response to a thread about road unis with purple pants and the possibility of all black unis (until stunner took over).....

i hear he has bad grades

I've known Arthur since we were in 7th grade. I've played on 7-on-7 teams with him and Bryce over the years and theres always been the days when I'll g to Wichita to party with him or he'll come to my little farm town to go cow-tippin. As long as I've known him, he's been a k-state fan. I believe he would come to ksu, if they put effort into recruiting him.

Too many JUCO's.
Notice how far apart the replies are.

god, I'm awesome:
I really enjoy all the excuses people give for Meier. The guy is a marginal Big 12 QB. His arm is marginal and all that's missing from his release is a crow-hop. He's not throwin the ball at a receiver's feet or throwing it to the other team (a Meier family tradition it seems) because he's not comfortable in the sytem, he's doing these things because he's a marginal QB. Which is fine as I didn't expect anything more out of him and if the defense continues to play at the level it plays, we should stay in a lot of ball games.

That thread was yet another good example of mj being beaten to a bloody message board pulp.
God, what a horrible poster.

wow mj, you defended Dylan Meier. That alone is awful.

The nation will be watching.....
love the athletic department's video....and now they are actually advertising it, good stuff.
Also....
Some student or fan that is attending the game tommorow needs to make a sign that reads "TIM HARDAWAY HATES ku" and make sure that several are made and put on the bottom three rows of the students. Use it at the pep rally.
You know the game.
