No news is good news for K-State football

P owercat Illustrated publisher and editor Tim Fitzgerald reports that when he went to drop off his magazine earlier this week at Kansas State’s Vanier Football Complex, he was informed that no print publications will be allowed there anymore.
This, of course, surprised Fitzgerald, who has for years dropped off 75 to 100 issues of the magazine as a courtesy to the program.
“Oh, well, it will save us $600 to $800 a year,” Fitzgerald said.
The scoop? Garry Bowman, K-State sports information director, tells us that Wildcats coach Ron Prince’s policy is that newspapers and magazines are no longer allowed inside the Vanier Complex.
“(Prince) has canceled all newspaper and magazine subscriptions the program had when he arrived,” Bowman said. “He is by no means singling out Powercat Illustrated, but rather adhering to his policy that prohibits all newspapers and magazines in the complex.”
Interestingly, Fitzgerald noted, Jack Vanier, whom the complex is named after, is one of nine investors in Spirit Street Publishing, which publishes Powercat Illustrated.

There's opinions in those papers which undermine the efforts of Weiser and his staff to accomplish their goals in the manner that they wish to do it. Smart move.

Naw, how many trees must have been cut down to make all those books he's read.

I'm trying to remember the last (first) time I read criticism of the football program in that rag.

one thing fitz is great at is creating completely unreasonable expectations for backups.

next we will see black boxes attached to all our tv's that are actually television content filters. Pussy Prince and the a-hole AD will make sure that even with 9 losses this year everyone drops to their knees when they see Prince to exhault him as the deity he wants to be thought of as
