Sports Illustrated predicts K-State to go 3-9. Magazines such as Street & Smith’s, The Sporting News, Athlon, Lindy’s and Blue Ribbon pegged the Wildcats for the North Division cellar. The conference media also voted the Wildcats last.

if finishing at the bottom of the north the past two years didn't provide enough bulletin board material, does sports illustrated really make a difference?
