Guys and Gals, I need to tell you a story:
I received a phone call last Saturday Morning from none other then Tim Weiser.
During the course of our conversation I was told that I was being disassociated from Kansas State University Athletics. My season ticket money was refunded, my Ahearn Donation refunded and my KSU-ku game ticket purchase was refunded.
Why you might ask??
Did I commit some NCAA violations that might get KSU into trouble?? No. Did I get into a fight in the stands, or threaten someone in KSU athletics?? No.
My "crime" ... too frequently questioning the direction and leadership of Kansas State Athletics on Internet forums, and asking to many questions.
Now had you listened to the conversation from last Saturday, you might have come away with the impression that I literally STALKED Tim Weiser and his staff ... bombarding them with emails, phone calls and letters daily, and generally making their life miserable.
Now, if about 15 or so emails, and 1 letter over the course of FIVE years is your definition of stalking, then I am guilty. Of those contacts only 3 could be considered negative and one or two of the THREE negatives were out of line ... which I freely admit (there's only so much $hit basketball a 35 year KSU fan can take). But they were all words ... MERE words discussing the business of KSU athletics and threatening no one in any way. It's hard for me to remember, because some of this stuff was either totally harmless, or from so far back, I can't even remember what I said.
The most interesting part of the conversation was when Tim Weiser started quoting Internet posts that I had made ... in some cases months, if not even YEARS ago. It was quite clear that the man had kept a file on me, and as he said, "You are not someone that we want associated with Kansas State Athletics." (I also believe that certain people who shall remain nameless who didn't like the fact that I refused to drink from the vat of Purple Kool-Aid made sure Weiser saw some of my posts).
Weiser apparently operates under the edict that you make one or two phone calls back to someone, answer their question, feed them a line ... and then they're NEVER TO QUESTION OR SAY ANYTHING EVER AGAIN TO ANYONE ANYWHERE!!! Kind of like when Stalin used to tell his military weapons designers, or generals that their next mistake would be their LAST mistake.
I guess Weiser missed the posts where I defended him, like on the Radio deal and other things.
While I disagreed with many of the things being done with KSU athletics, I still purchased season tickets, I INCREASED my Ahearn Donation, I have been trying to get my parents to change their estate to include KSU athletics, I purchased bowl tickets even though I had no prayer of going in order to help KSU sell their allotment, and I bought tickets to games I had no hope of attending and gave them away so KSU would either sell more tickets, or they wouldn't end up in the hands of oppossing team fans. Heck I have no hope of making it back to the KSU-ku game, but I bought two tickets anyway and had already made arrangements to sell them for 1/4 their face value so they end up in the hands of a hardcore KSU fan.
I have my contacts ... from what I understand this doesn't happen to anyone unless they're fighting in the stands, or causing KSU trouble with the NCAA ... again, I don't fit the bill on any of that.
So, fairwarning to all my friends ... be careful what you say, or Herr Weiser might send you packing too. Keep in mind, I am a nobody ... when I emailed or wrote (one letter) providing some input, I never thought or demanded for one second that they listen, I just spoke from concern and as someone who has followed KSU and the business of college athletics for 30 years now. I have to laugh ... at Auburn they still have AD's and boosters around that were involved in flying private jets to various places looking for Tommy Tubberville's replacement ... in secret. Those are the type of people that get "disassociated" from Athletic Departments ... not little old me type fans who just speak their mind.
Still a K-State fan all the way, I was here a long time before Tim Weiser came around (like 25 years before) and I'll be here a long time after Tim Weiser leaves. I have never been a "Oh well whatever you say" kind of person, and I guess I paid a price for my ways.
-
Wow.
-
WTH??? That aint right, not right at all.
-
ARE YOU SERIOUS?? That is the most insane thing I've ever heard. The fact that Weiser even pays attention to message boards let alone keeps tabs on people is ridiculous! That post has to be a joke, right?
-
If he reads the boards , thats pretty cool though. ;)
-

I wish it weren't true but it is.
I called up on Friday to find out where my football season tickets were since I hadn't received them yet and they had charged my credit card, taken my Ahearn donation and sold me tickets to the KSU-ku game ... and I was told I had to call Weiser. We talked real time on Saturday morning at 8 a.m. EST.
-
Finally.
I'd be interested to see how long a duplicate of your post would last "elsewhere" or "on another board".
-
He called you at 7 am on a Saturday morning?
Well, unless he was hunting somewhere in the East i guess...
-
I'd kill to see my file.
-
I wanted to ask if he was on his bass boat when he called.
When I left him the message on Friday, I said that apparently I have been called to the Principal's office.
-
Seek counseling.
-
Why??
-
What did you say in response to Weiser quoting your posts, or telling you all of those things? You left that part out.
-
There's obviously more to the story than what's being told here.
Not saying anyone is right or wrong, but there is more to it than what's been presented.
-
Wait a minute, I'm not calling BS on this because I like conspiracy theories as much as the next guy but some things don't add up. Wouldn't he have had to go through a Mod to get your contact information? Unless of course you make it public knowledge as to your real name and telephone number when you post on the internet. Help me out here... I want to believe.
-
What did you say in response to Weiser quoting your posts, or telling you all of those things? You left that part out.
Well Tim ... I mean Saul ... I told him I thought he was thin skinned, and I asked him if thought other business people refused to do business with people who complained about something from TIME TO TIME. He tried to use the analogy of his talking with business people who say some people aren't worth doing business with ... well I agree; but in the real world it takes a whole lot more then a handful of posts on a pay for post Internet forum, and a couple of emails that might be construed as negative over the course of FIVE YEARS before any real company disassociates themselves with a customer. Like I said; if I emailed, called, wrote and hammered away on the Internet, and marched outside the stadium or Bramlage morning, noon and night railing on Weiser ... I could almost understand his position. But that's not been the case.
-
Don't you think it is within his rights to do this?
-
There's obviously more to the story than what's being told here.
Not saying anyone is right or wrong, but there is more to it than what's been presented.
You know what ... I've racked my brain to see if I've done anything wrong. Again, the only time I was negative really was when I was ticked off about a couple of the promotional events they had like Hot Dog Gate and Popcorn Gate ... when the athletic department completely screwed it up, and it was 1981 KSU athletics all over again ... no excuse for that from a $40 Million dollar plus enterprise, and not when I send relatives to one of those events because they were having a tough time and needed a night out for themselves and their kids and it was a complete disappointment for them, basically money just flushed right down the Toilet and Weiser basically doesn't give a $hit.
Again, other then that, I can't think of anything. That's why when I tell my family or close friends about this, they just laugh at the absudity.
-
Maybe he just didn't like your avatar.... Maybe you should put more purple in it. For the record Tim, uhhmmm... hummm.. I mean everyone... I love KSU and would never say anything negative towards my beloved cats.
*tap* *tap* Testing 1..2...3...check check 1..2... *tap* *tap*
-
Wow. That really sucks.
Have you really sent them about 15 e-mails and a letter?
I sent an e-mail to Bill Snyder once... thanking him for everything he's done.
-
Don't you think it is within his rights to do this?
Sure Tim ... I mean Saul, I haven't ever thought that having tickets or donating was a right ... but you're telling me that the highest paid administrator on the KSU campus (by $100K) has such thin skin he can't handle what somebody says about him on the Internet?? Why would the CEO of a probably $50 million dollar enterprise care what somebody says about him every once in awhile on an Internet BBS ... would'nt you think the highest paid administrator on the KSU campus would have bigger fish to fry??
-

Hmmm...perhaps he does have bigger fish to fry. Maybe that's the point.
-

Seriously, this post needs one gigantic popcorn-eating smiley. What do you know Saul that you're not telling us? Does Weiser not care about the Star-Spangled Banner either?

Weiser is the savior of KSU athletics.

Maybe so ... but my email average was about one every 121 days. I hadn't emailed Weiser directly in about 6 or 7 months, never called the guy directly, never attempted too. Sent 1 letter that was co-written that wasn't complaining about anything about 2.5 years ago. I am guilty I guess of paying to much attention, and asking why some things are said somedays, and something totally different is said a little while later. Plus, when I say about 15 emails, only about 3 or 4 were to Weiser ... the rest were asking say Rod Cole how the new weightroom was, or Cliff Revolto how the new track was going.
-
snicker.
you got the ax from your alma mater. damn, that is some fine assholery to get a cash-grubbing entity like that to give your money back.
REJECTED.
Even Fred Phelps' old church didn't send back his offering money to him.

Weiser is the savior of KSU athletics.
And I've complimented him on his financial stuff ... but he also acts like KSU athletics is a big savings account, what good does a $7 million dollar surplus do you, if all of your athletic teams are bringing up the rear of the conference?? Maybe you're planning on sucking even more and want to save it for when there's fewer fans in the stands??
Plus no Eddie Fogler ... no Bob Huggins, period.
-
Football has only been bad for the past couple of years. God for bid.
Basketball wasn't his hire, and we all know he wanted to fire him before the fact. Bob &@#%ing Huggins. Come on.
He is constantly improving facilities, and trying to get K-State to the big time.

Maybe so ... that's why I am forewarning people, be careful what you say on the Internet about KSU's athletic administration, they're watching and keeping tabs. Don't call Tim Weiser an "idiot" on the Internet when his department screws up ... he's watching.

I bet they are still taking Wildcat Nations money, and IMO, he's been more vocal about Weiser than you have.
-
Assholery? Or insecurity on the part of Weiser?
And going back to Racquetball's post, how did he know who you were? If I saw your name I would know it because we've been around a long time and I remember you making a comment to Greg Hall's site back in the day and it had your name. Is your e-mail not hidden somewhere? It probably wouldn't be hard to find out who you were on the boards based on the notes you've sent to him, but he'd still need proof. I would think someone had to have outed you.
-
I'm just wondering when he will call me! I should be so honored.
Totally agree..>THANK GOD for EDDIE FOGLER!

Okay Tim, we get the point. I have already been kicked out, but nobody else respond here, they're keeping tabs.

You know, I've read hundreds of posts, other than yours, generally calling Tim Weiser an idiot. You are the only person (if it's true) that I have ever heard of that has been disassociated with the university. Wonder why that could be?
-
I volunteer myself to be the mouth piece for all negative comments about Weiser. Just send me a message and I'll post it for you since I fear no repercussions. Unless...does Weiser know anybody in the WSU administration?? Where's my tinfoil hat when I need it!

They likely put two and two together, and as I said, I think one if not several parties helped the cause along.

I think it's time to Call For Action...

They know who I am...or at least someone close in that department does.
I don't email him because I know he doesn't respond.
He reminds me of worthless HS guidance counselors and superintendents that always think they need to be PC.
See the "suggestions" made by the Big 12 that we are all to eager to comply with without question.

I don't know ... like I said they did call me back after I had a couple of questions, and it was all good ... but then none of the stuff either came to pass, or it came to pass in no where close to the form that they said it would. I said something about it on the Internet ... so I guess that ticked them off. But like I said ... it's just been words, simple opinions.
-
Golly gee dax...who would be good buds with Weiser that would have your contact information and be able to verify it against your username on the internet?

Golly gee dax...who would be good buds with Weiser that would have your contact information and be able to verify it against your username on the internet?
Hmmm ...
I admit, for years my biggest pet peeve about KSU athletics was the ultra-secret way they operated, and the missed promises ... holy $hit guys, what BCS school has a torn up baseball stadium for 2 years. But hey, I gave Weiser credit for getting that mess straightend out. But if you spend to much time following this stuff like I do, you realize how different KSU does things as compared to just about every other BCS school. I am not the only one ... many other people have noted that KSU is very secretive about everything, because I don't think anybody wants to commit to anything there anymore, and they don't do things like most BCS schools do. So I started asking some questions, and I guess that ticked some folks off.

Can't wait to see Dax on television, or does he have a face for radio. This ought to be interesting. With all of the internet stalker freakboy tards he has, don't know if I would go that route if I were him.

Hire Clarett's attorney?

Bitch, who do you think is most saddened by this news?
:)
-
Honestly folks ... If I had threatend someone, or been like the guy who attacked Wefald when KSU hired Snyder becuase the guy wanted KSU to hire Ron Dickerson ... I wouldn't have said a word about what happened on Saturday.
But I am saying it because I was disassociated for my words and opinions about KSU's athletic administration.
-
It's a load of @#%$ because from your posts at gp.com that I've read, you were never that over-critical and when you were you used logic and facts that should have been respected.
Of course, we don't know your emails but if they were like your posts this is garbage.
-
April Fools.
-
Welcome to the current state of KSU athletics.
I don't doubt this even a little bit...mostly based on my experiences and what I've read/heard.
-
Bitch, who do you think is most saddened by this news?
You lost me there. Edit: Nevermind, I got ya. Those tickets are mine, bitch!
I bet they are still taking Wildcat Nations money, and IMO, he's been more vocal about Weiser than you have.
My response is basically what fatty said. dax has always backed up his posts with logic and facts. No disrespect intended towards WN, but his posts about Weiser are usually just, "Weiser blew this one...Weiser sucks...Weiser is hunting..." Not a whole lot of substance to them. dax "complains" about the administration and he backs it up with logic and facts. I've never once read a dax comment about the administration and thought that dax was crossing the line, that he intended to disrespect Weiser or anybody in the administrative office, or was any threat. This has to be the craziest thing I've heard of. I've got to believe the only way an athletic department could disassociate you from the University is for death threats (or something else illegal) or something that in some way harmed the University. Where was dax doing any harm? I always felt it was concern and comments about the University he loves. Everything I've always seen has been informational and something I was glad I got to read. Some people just bitch to bitch. In my mind, dax discussed something he cared deeply about. If we're getting the whole story, this is a pretty pathetic statement about Weiser. Weiser should've hired the son of a bitch instead of disassociating him from the University.
-
this is bull crap. i don't believe any of it.
-
I admit that some of my stuff is just my opinion, kind of like how Tim makes some decisions.
I really didn't have a problem with him until his "I don't give a crap" attitude when his department completely screwed up a few promotions...He's unprofessional, to put it mildly.
-
this is bull @#%$. i don't believe any of it.
Dude it's completely true ... the finance gal for the Ahearn Fund just called me yesterday and wanted to know where to send my Ahearn donation refund.

Thanks ... like I said, some of this stuff goes so far back, I barely even remember it. Weiser never said one time that I was being disassociated because I made threats (I never have) ... he basically said in so many words that he didn't appreciate what I had to say, and basically said in so many words he was tired of me asking questions and criticizing him and the athletic department on the Internet. He's got a bullet for his gun now, and by golly he was going to use it. There were 3 emails that were negative (to the very best of my recollection), 1 was because I thought the Athletic Administration was contradicting themselves in the press on various projects and not telling the whole story, 1 was because I was frustrated with basketball, and 1 because they ran a couple of promotional events extremely poorly, and Weiser took a "let'm eat cake" attitude about the whole deal ... like who gives a $hit. I of course said the same thing on an Internet forum and the "Tim Weiser could come burn down my house and rape my wife" crowd didn't like it.
He was also apparently still holding a grudge because I sent an email to Wefald when Weiser was first hired just wondering if he was going to be a change from the incompetent ways of Max Urick ... He referenced that email and I damn near wrecked the car, talk about not letting something go.
-
Well at least you don't have to agonize over whether to pay that money anymore....
I think I'd be asking 'em for a few more years refunds as well....after all they put in a funding formula that's based in part on longevity....where's the ROI.
'course this is al predicated on validity.
-
wow... if this is true WTF is going on. KSU athletics is like a little miniature totalitarian gov't. Sonofdax is just the first convicted of treason. Somebody should photoshop that Kaun t-shirt and change it to ADTW hahaha. By the way I am the son of a season ticket holder and in no way do my views of the KSU athletic department reflect on my father.
-
i wizzed on wefald's front porch on the way back from the bars one night.
and i get invited to alumni events, speaking engagements, etc.
my whiz is golden.

You post like a three year old. I think that's what java was trying to say. No offense.
-
Lew Perkins would never have done that.
-
KSU loves me. Boo ya.
-
Maybe it was one of things like with Bush I and broccoli when he was president of the United States and didn't want to eat broccoli anymore. Weiser is the savior of KSU athletics and decided to pick one asshole to not put up with any more.
At least he had the stones to talk with you in person, sort of.
-
The Savior ... Bill Snyder was the Savior, Timmy just got here to ride the coat tails. Bill Snyder basically hired the guy.
But he got his bullet back, and he was gonna use it.

FloydCat??
As in Lon Floyd??

Welcome kusports.com stalkers.

Um, yeah. That's me. Lon Floyd. I'm the one that Timbo has been paying to keep an eye on you. And I'm here to proclaim it!
Yeah, that's the ticket.
Or am I actually Floyd Landis? You'll never know.
But at least my alma mater still loves me.

I understand that Misfitzermation has it wrong again. When I canceled my rivals account, I told them that I thought that someone might be letting my personal information out and that's why I was cancelling my subscription ... I never told the Rivals people I had been blacklisted from PI.
But leave it to Misfitzermation to get it wrong as per usual.

Well, I think since you're no longer a (recognized) KSU fan, you should transfer your college degree to another school or something. I should just go ahead and ban you now because I'm sure you're going to cause a ruckus and whine about something else and I certainly don't need the AD on my ass...
Look, I don't have an opinion one way or another, but we're really only hearing your side of the story here. I have read a lot of the comments you've made on GP.COM, and a couple of times I responded you slapped back telling me about how I was just ignoring "reality" and insinuated that I was drinking the purple koolaid too much. There was a time when you actually stated for the record that KSU was losing games because of facilities, inept AD administration, and how recruiting was being affected by it. You even had RoboCat as an ally for a while until Leland pretty much caused him to go away. I'm paraphrasing here based on my recollection, and not using exact wording.
I am genuinely sorry that you had to go through that, and I personally believe that you are a true and loyal KSU fan. However, considering the way this has been handled, from your view, I'm quite certain there is more going on from both sides that hasn't been presented. While others may have said you didn't say anything too critical, they aren't the ones who have to deal with it and the resulting fallout from it. Like it or not, the AD has the final say so on how such matters are to be handled, and when you piss on the shoes of the big guy, you can't expect him not to do anything. That's not to say you can't be critical and raise your concerns, and I'm sure that Weiser has heard many things. It's one thing to raise your concerns to him directly, it's another to do so in a public forum where others who may or may not be donors read your comments and take them as gospel of what KSU is doing. And more importantly, in a forum where Weiser is not at liberty to answer. You have admitted that KSU is doing things in secret (to which I agree they probably are) but they may have legitimate reasons for doing such things, and when you're the guy in charge, you see things from a different perspective.
This isn't an attack on you, just my observations. I have been involved in many projects where I have had to hold onto information from those working on my team because they didn't need to know, or it's release could have created some other issues. And I have been chastised openly by some and have had to fire people because they ask too many questions or complain too much, especially in open forums. I didn't want to, but there comes a time when it's more practical to get rid of the naysayers who can disrupt or cause problems because the projects doesn't have time to address every little concern that comes up from someone who really isn't in the know and especially if that person isn't a key player. I'm not implying that you are that type of person, but a check of reality might help you to understand what I'm getting at. This isn't about Stalinism or totalitarianism, it's about success of a project, product, or program and a lot of eggshells that must be protected and sometimes, you may not know what they are. I don't think you did anything to genuinely cause problems for the program, but that isn't up to me to decide and my opinion is irrelevant when it comes to the issue you were dealing with. At the same time, SOMETHING must have triggered it, and without knowing exactly what was said, and what the AD was using as a basis, all I can say is I hope you find a way to work it out.
Best of luck to you.
-
Sounds like a raw deal.
But then again, we only get to hear your side of the story.
-
I have read a lot of the comments you've made on GP.COM, and a couple of times I responded you slapped back telling me about how I was just ignoring "reality" and insinuated that I was drinking the purple koolaid too much.
And?
-
I knew your lack of support of the Tom Asbury regime would come back to bite you!
-
I knew your lack of support of the Tom Asbury regime would come back to bite you!
Tom's final revenge.
I fully realize this is only one side of the story. But I'll say this ... if you ever hear the other side of the story beyond what I said on here, then let me know, I'd love to hear it.
Again, if I'd really done something terrible then I wouldn't even have brought this up, but I am still laughing so much by what I was told on Saturday morning ... and think its so absurd that I thought I'd share it with you all. Because its quite clear the boards are being monitored, and whatever you do, don't send any emails questioning anything at KSU, and then discuss it on the Internet ... and I am being completely serious. When the AD at KSU is quoting Internet posts, just after he tells you that you're not the kind of fan that they want, how else can anyone interpret that?? The conversation didn't start off with, "about this letter bomb you just sent".
-
I knew your lack of support of the Tom Asbury regime would come back to bite you!

Why not bring it up? You know full well that no one will ever hear the other side of the story.
And you may not believe you crossed the line when it would be clear to anyone else that you did. Got any copies of those Kstate bound emails laying around somewhere?
-
Yes, let's have show-and-tell...
-
The emails that likely ticked him off are long gone on a blown up hard drive. My last two emails to anyone at KSU were:
1. To kurt McGuffin Associate AD about the status of my season tickets (no reply)
2. About 2 months ago I asked Casey Scott Associate AD a general question about the stone being used on Vanier.
Insofar as emailing Weiser, the last time was like back in Febuary or so, and that hard drive is in pieces.
Now ... if want to read about my Internet posts, rejoin PI and ask the Kool-Aid crowd ... BTW, since somebody keeps letting me know what they're saying. One ... don't difile the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and the Ahearn Refund for 2007 (to date) will be $300 Taxie.
And Goldy Pissant ... I have been a KSU fan longer then you've been freakin alive ... "I think its funny that Dax thinks he's always been stalked ..." (but here you are, as per usual) .
I see the usual suspects on phog.net ... Doc Squawksmith in the mix as per usual as well.
-
Dax,
I am a frequent visitor and have seen KSU posts with a wide range of opinions from the kool aid drinkers to the pragmatics . From level headed to positively passionate if not insanely optimistic.
However, your posts are almost entirely negative regardless of the subject. You want to lay this at the feet of Tim Weiser, but perhaps you should look at yourself. Like some previous posters already have pointed out, we will only get your side of the story and quite frankly you playing the victim card doesn't come off real well.
So now you are a former KSU fan because of this. Apparently, all along this was about you not your love of Kansas State University.
Perhaps you got what you deserved.

Hmmmm.... You think?
Always look on the bright side of life. I always say.
-
That's fine to doubt what I say ... but as I keep saying had it been beyond more then someone not liking what I said in some emails or on the Internet, then I wouldn't be saying anything at all.
If I'd called and told Tim Weiser I was going to "blow up his house if he didn't listen to me" ... then I sure as hell wouldn't be telling the folks on here to watch what they say on Internet BBS's about KSU.
When one of the reasons a person gives you for them "disassociating" you from an organization that they're the head of is because you called them an idiot in a post on a Bulletin Board (sometime way back when) ... then that's pretty much the basic flavor of the whole conversation. It wasn't, "You can't send O.J. Mayo a car, fight people in the stands, and oh by the way, you called me an idiot on the Internet". I didn't write "You Suck" in the man's lawn with Round-Up.

But you wanted to do that, didn't you? And you still do, don't you? If only you didn't live so far away. If only you couldn't be right there and make him do just what you want him do to, right?

IceE ... you ever heard of sarcasm, or are you like every other squawk who has the sense of humor of an Enema??
Thanks and God Bless ... is sarcasm.

Go ahead and keep feeling sorry for yourself, Dax. What kills me is that you still don't get it. Was it worth it? All of your enjoyment you have received from bitching and complaining and e-mailing the AD's office and posting over and over about the same old crap, has resulted in you not even being able to buy a ticket to a home football game. Yet, you still think you have no fault here. You have two choices. You can go on feeling sorry for yourself, or you can realize that just maybe you might want to reevaluate the way you act. I suggest you might concentrating your energy into something positive. Think about what you can accomplish. When life serves you lemons, make lemonade.

Life is great ... thanks.
Headed to the lake this weekend get the Plasma screen fired up for college football. That is if the storm doesn't mess things up to much.
-
That's the thing, Dax is never ever wrong...at least that is what he wants everyone to believe.
Only Dax would have ever know this happened, assuming it actually did. But rather than just bury it, he comes on with a lame butt justification.
This dude simply cannot get over himself. He's an all time college football Internet classic, but not for what he intended.

Oh boy, add another to the long list of Squawk Stalkers.
Okay, you win, I made it all up, it's a lie ... or ... I left a severed horses head in Tim Weiser's bed. (cue Capt. Literal squawk team).
Lame Butt ... you mean Lame Ass??

I agree with a hawk. Dogs and cats sleeping together.
His actions resulted in being disassociated with his alma mater, yet he did nothing wrong. Yep, makes sense to me.
-
are you like every other squawk who has the sense of humor of an Enema??
The incredible irony...
-
Sure I did something wrong ... I called Tim Weiser an "idiot" on one post I made, I have voiced my disagreement with many actions, lack of action, or policies of the KSU athletic department, and I told Tim Weiser his department did a crap job TWICE in running two promotional events.
So in Tim Weiser's world that was "wrong" and he said so. He said "You are not the kind of fan that we need" and he referenced specifically an email that I sent when he was hired just asking Wefald some questions about Weiser's way of doing things, and me calling him an "idiot" on the Internet at some point in time long since forgotten, and he asked me, "so you think I am an idiot"??
-

That's all you ever say, which again makes me concerned for you being admitted to KSU ... and I can't have a sense of humor with a stalker, who talks about Anime all the time.

Would you happen to have a link to a thread where I was talking of anime without having the subject brought up by someone else first?
Its just hard to buy Dax. I would think Weiser values your money moreso than any ill will you could spread on internet messageboards regarding Weiser and the way he handles Ksu. Its not like turning you away from Ksu is going to stop you from 'exposing' him. Any emails/letters can simply be discarded. He just sounds a little too thin skinned which makes me believe the whole story is not told.
-
Dude, you're in a hole . . . stop digging so frantically!

Floyd Cat ... continues to flame out.
But yet my I am good enough for them. You are not.
Jeezus, how much of an asshole do you have to be for your alma mater to reject your money?
How obnoxious do you have to be for Athletics, the Foundation, your college and Anderson Hall to get together and decide that you are not worth the effort it takes to cash you $50 check to be rejected by any of them? That must have taken some effort.
ku is willing to name athletic facilities after convicted felons. Granted, their standards are low. But you have achieved something truly special. You must be proud.

Why don't you two go daisy chain each other.

So you were refunded your money almost 3 weeks ago and you just now you figured this out?
-
I have multiple bank accounts, and I didn't see that transaction, it was well down the list on the one account that I used.
I guess you've got to watch every last penny huh??
-
No I don't watch every penny, but I would notice a $610 transaction. Perhaps you are too busy getting yourself booted from KSU athletics to notice.
-
Theres really no way to verify your side unless we could read your emails.
Nation has called Weiser far worse and far more frequently.

Can someone remind me or show me what all I've called him? I remember ridiculing his handling of many situations...but I can't recall much personal namecalling.
i think it's really cool how the folks at GP are coming out of the woodwork and talking behind dax's back like a bunch of middle school children. It's not surprsing, however.

So, what was the trigger for Weiser to make this decision? All of the critical comments you are citing were made years prior to now, yet all of the sudden he comes out and takes this action?...and only towards you?
Clearly Dax was leveraging his donations to KSU as a means to have himeself heard...which is fine...but when you do that, you have to be ready for someone to call the bluff. I'm not saying I agree with Weisers decision based on the facts you've presented...if this is thie whole story I would expect him to rise above that level and brush off the criticism...but if you (Dax) were informing him with every email that you're a donor and he therefore has to listen to you, well, there you go. Problem solved. Now you can't email Wefald as a donor and complain about Weiser...
-

Chief ... I never said that in every email, never even brought it up ... and I only sent Weiser about 3 or 4 emails total over 5 years.
-
Let's see copies of the emails sent and see what Tim Weiser has to say.
As the grand ol man of the Republican party, Ronald Reagan said, "Trust, but verify."
-
You'll never get the other side of the story, so all we have left is the perspective from person that go booted by KSU Athletics. You simply cannot take his version as fact. When pressed to backup his claims, we get a lot of hard drive crash stories. Yeah, right.
Dax got punked big time and no amount of spin on his part is going to change that. Poetic Justice.
-
IceE .... now officially a member of the Stalkers.
I never treated anything I emailed to KSU as something that would ever have to be documented .... geezus, we're talking like 3 or 4 Emails directly to Weiser (over 5 years) with the last one being about 6 or 7 months ago. Sure I got punked ... I got punked because Tim Weiser didn't like what I said about him on the Internet.

If this indeed did happen I would have to say it is very, very disturbing. Doesn't Weiser have better and more important things to do than to worry about what fans say/think? The whole Bomar message board incident does make me want to give you the benefit of the doubt. This would make for a very interesting newspaper article, assuming once again it did in fact happen.
-
Like I keep saying, had it not happened, or had the conversation with Weiser not centered around the following:
1. An email I sent to Wefald 5 years ago.
2. My comments about Weiser on the Internet.
3. Me calling him an "idiot" I guess at some point in time.
Then I would've never have brought this up.
-
Daxy,
you are old enough to know that there are consequences in everything. If you cross over a line, then you had better be willing to be pushed back. Too often people view the internet/email as a shield that prevents them from suffering retribution due to the anonymous nature of the beast. I believe that this is not the case, as we see in your situation. It's too bad that you had to become a martyr for the KState Nation, but it's a valuable lesson that everyone on the board should understand.
-

What's interesting about it? Weiser sacked some guy that was undermining everything (except hiring Eddie Fogler, apparantly) that the KSU athletic department did. And he was doing this publicly. Yes internet BBSs are a public forum. This wasn't just an occasional criticism. This was a constant barrage of e-mails and posts on GoPowercat and elsewhere that Weiser and his staff evidently felt warranted this action. We haven't seen his e-mails to the department or Wefald. All we have are posts from "poor Dax" that say "I didn't do anything wrong." :crybaby: :crybaby:
The only interesting thing that I could see come out of this is that I would like to hear the REAL reasons why they pulled his plug. I'd like to see his correspondence and hear the AD's side of Dax's actions. However, the nature of his posts elsewhere give me some idea of what he is capable of. I can only imagine how he acted. All Weiser did was make a decision to not to accept his business, based on his actions. Weiser believed that Dax's actions were a hindrance to the advancement of the department. Based on what I have seen and read, I agree. Like it or not, it's Tim Weiser's job to run KSU athletics and he is doing so in a manner that the vast majority believes to be excellent and professional.
All I can say is that anything that helps to keep a person like Dax from sitting next to me at a ball game is a good thing. All he does is constantly attmept to tear down what the professional, that my alma mater has hired, is trying to build. And Dax does all this to do nothing more than feed his own ego... to make himself feel important. Sad thing is, Dax is probably revelling in this whole thing. He probably is taking great joy in the fact that he has been disassociated saying. "Look at me!! :dancin: I'm important enough for Tim Weiser to notice me and disassociate me from KSU athletics!!" Such a sad :crybaby: life, if that is true.
-
If you donate money to an organization, you totally have the right to question the leadership and direction of said organization. In fact, it's extremely foolish not to.
-
Yep ... I bombarded Weiser with Emails morning, noon and night ... filled up his email box, spammed his voicemail and sent 5 letters a day, certified mail-registered return receipt signature required in fact.
Scuba sures sounds more and more like a PI Wabash Zealot with every post.
If you want, contact Weiser yourself, because if there's more to the story of:
1. You called me an "idiot".
2. You criticized me to much on the Internet.
3. You sent an email to Wefald 5 years ago.
4. You had the audacity to question what we're doing 2 years after we called you.
I'd sure love to hear it.
-

Oh give me a break. If you're so damn high and mighty why don't you be the better man and keep your thoughts of dax (a guy you don't even know) off the board? How the heck do you know why he makes the comments he does? Just maybe it's something he cares deeply about and hates seeing our athletic administration do some of the stupid things they've done. College athletics is a huge business now and you better be able to handle the criticism when you can't even run a simple event smoothly. How much criticism does George Bush take for the way he runs our country? Should he start disassociating Americans that don't agree with what he's doing and let their voices be heard?
-

I agree. You also have the right not to donate and the organization has the right to not accept your money. If not, Dax should just go ahead and sue. I'd love to see that.

Puhlease. Last time I checked Tim Weiser wasn't an elected official and Ahearn donations aren't legally mandated like say... taxes. Dax is free to criticize all he wants and I'm free to express my opinion about the fact that I believe his actions are harmful to KSU athletics. kudos to Tim Weiser for standing up for what he believes is the right way to run KSU athletics.

And the basic premise of this thread is ... be careful what you say.
-
Yeah, instead of being forced to pay for something, dax took some of his own hard-earned money and donated it to the University he loves. The shame!
Hey, dax isn't void of criticism here, but there's no need to make it personal and say that this is a guy you're glad you don't have to sit next to when you don't even know the guy.

Oh stfu.

Why should we be careful in what we say? I've never believed that stifling dissent in any organization is a good thing. There are always two sides to a story but based on you side Dax, Tim is way way out of line!!! If you did something more than what is being said here then good for Tim in taking action but to disassociate someone for not speaking the company line of a PUBLIC university is just plain stupid.
-
...I believe his actions are harmful to KSU athletics.
Care to elaborate?
Sure. I believe that Dax's vendetta against the athletic department on the internet, that I believe has become a very powerful medium, creates an environment that undermines the efforts of Weiser and his staff to accomplish their goals in the manner that they wish to do it. It creates an atmosphere that makes people think our department is incompetent, unfeeling, and inadequate, when I totally disagree. I believe that his actions are actually making people believe that it would be a bad decision to give money to KSU athletics for fear that we have incompetent leadership. I do not believe that is the case. Pure and simple.

Yeah, I read this post before you edited it. So this is about the hot dogs and the truck, eh? Good call.

What Dax isn't the PERSON making his posts? He doesn't mean any of it? It's all garbage and just for fun? No, I've never met the guy in person, but I do know that anyone that acts the way that he does, even on the internet, is someone I don't want to know.
Oh, and if you can get "personal" on the internet, then how is it I don't "know" Dax. I've read hundreds of his posts.
-
Not entirely ... just a couple of examples of "doing things right".

The feeling is 100% mutual.

How is keeping him from donating going to help any of that? Besides, what % of donors and potential donors do you think actually read Dax's posts, much less withhold donations because of them? How are emails sent to KSU administration harmful?

I just wish we could figure out which title Scuba holds...
You would have loved Hitler.
-
Dax, how were the connections made between your screen name and letters/emails? Who ratted you out? Any guesses?

Based on some of my posts, somebody in the Athletic Department could've put two and two together. How a certain Dax hater from the PI Wabash Zealot crowd got my name, I don't know for sure.

Hey, I'm not saying that you don't have the right to say whatever you want. Go right ahead, just don't expect me to have to agree with you. Seems to me that you guys are the ones with the free speech problem. Why do I have to agree?
Nation, I don't think I know anyone that has been more outspoken in his criticism of Weiser than you. You're not disassociated, are you? This is where Dax's story doesn't hold water. It's not that I agree that you should be disassociated with KSU athletics if you are critical, I think you can criticize all you want. I just don't care that Dax got disassociated. I also think there's more to this story or you would be too.
Have at Weiser. I don't care. I think he's doing a good to exceptional job and I'm going to disagree with you. Have at me.
-
I think he's done a great job in certain areas and a bad job in others...
I don't e-mail him, however...He is like the man in the box. I communicate with others, and usually it's to obtain information or give congrats

I don't think anybody is saying you have to agree. Nobody is calling for sanctions against you because you hold a minority opinion in this thread. The problem I have is that dax did get very significant sanctions levied against him just because he voiced dissent (unless there is more to the story)

Well that's good and I agree that everyone should have the right to criticize.
On the "more to the story" front, do you think that Tim Weiser's going to come on KSUFans and tell his side of this little story? I say Dax should go to the press or get a lawyer or how about post those e-mails he sent to Tim Weiser and Co. Oh yeah, those are on some blown up hard drive. Sounds like Tim can pull his out of his file when the reporter asks for them or the judge for that matter. Think about it for a minute. Is Weiser so stupid that he would do this and think this will shut Dax up? I'm sure some of you will, of course, say yes, but seriously. He's got to expect it. If he's concerned about what Dax is going to spout on the internet, is this the proper course of action? He's evidently got a defensible position, or he wouldn't have done it. If not, go ahead Dax, go to the paper. With all the KSU haters in the media, I'm sure you'll find one to put it in print. If what he says is true, maybe his dream will come true and the media frenzy will get Weiser fired.

You gotta admit, this does fit right in with his fan relations talents.

Call JMart. Heck, better yet, hey JMart, you want a piece of this story? Give Dax a shout. Probably more of a ku Star type thing though.
-
It's kind of sad and scary that someone would feel compelled to reveal all of this information on an internet message board.
-
Howdy, BookCat!
-
Of course there is more to the story. There are plenty of outspoken critics on this board, so name one other person that got a call from Wieser like Dax did.
-
In similar news...... Jack Johnson just called me. He says I'm banned from his concerts for reading this: http://www.last.fm/user/Benladen/journal/2006/08/26/214309/ .
He called me because Bookcat gave him my phone number.
Please take me seriously.
-
For the "there's got to be more to the story" crowd ... there isn't anymore to the story.
If I did anything more then email now and then, voice my opinion and discuss stuff on the Internet, then I wouldn't have said a word here.
So I know you want to believe I threatend the guy, or something like that, but that simply isn't the case.
Like I keep saying, if somebody else finds out what the "more to the story" is, let me know.
-
Dax,
There has got to be more to this story. I'm not saying that you know what that is....just that the pieces don't really add up. What event triggered this decision to be made? There had to be something that was the straw that broke the camels back. Again, I'm not saying you know the answers here but the puzzles pieces we have just don't fit together.
-
It was:
1. Me calling Weiser an idiot at some point in time, that's what he said anyway.
2. Me sending an email to Wefald 5 years ago when Weiser was hired ... he kept mentioning that.
3. Don't really know.
-
Fine, you Wieser kicked you out of the tree house but I haven't read one single post anywhere from a KSU fan that shares your fate. Now you are trying to down play what you did which only further raises questions. If what you did really wasn't that bad, then why haven't others come forward?

Maybe because they weren't as proactive as me StalkerBoy.

Gotta be more recent than that...
Nobody waits five years before they retaliate.
And Book, Dax is a scary guy...

bump for the most viewed non-pinned thread in The Dive.

Just want to bump this again for my buddies on shockernet . . . who are particularly angry that WSU lost to K-State AGAIN, in baseball.
