Title: UofL Injuries
Post by: lynchmb1029 on September 10, 2008, 08:19:32 PM
Came across this on one of their boards...

Louisville: The Cardinals have some extra time off before playing Kansas State on Wednesday, and they need it. Four starting offensive linemen left Saturday's Tennessee Tech game with various injuries, but none are considered serious at this point. Louisville is hoping to get receiver Scott Long back soon. Long broke a bone in his foot during training camp and hasn't yet been cleared to return to practice. Fellow receiver Trent Guy, who has played in the first two games despite suffering a gunshot wound in his lower back on July 5, is getting back into shape and becoming a bigger part of the team's plans. Guy may be worked into special-teams return duties this week.

Maybe we can get some pressure on Cantwell...

Hopefully we blitz alittle more... I think we have been saving up some blitz packages because we haven't needed them. I expect us to bring them out this game in full force against a weakened O-line.

The more I look at this matchup...the more I believe that it will a total Ron Prince &@#%up if we lose this game.

2-10 on the road..hopefully 3-10 soon.

Didn't help the Cats last time, with both Brohm and Bush out.

Yes, however this years louisville doesn't have the depth that the Louisville team of 06 did...

New staff...and their offensive line was amazing in '06.

Yes it did.  It helped a ton.  No way we stay within 50 with Brohm and Bush playing.

Louisville lost their top passer, top rusher and top three receivers from their 6-6 team last year.  :fatty:

plus three on their o-line, two on the d-line (even though they are good there imho)...and a few in the secondary. It's a new chapter in Louisville and alot of their fans are already calling for the HC's neck.

IT's like 2006 Kstate.

If Mother Fcking Trent Guy has ANY success when we play - we have issues... SHOT? ARE YOU SERIOUS? That guy (pardon the pun) is a man among men. A bullet enters his body TWICE and he is playing in the same season - WOW, que impresivo.

Seems like a perfect situation for all those guys to come back and play and have the game of their lives vs ksu then never do anything else ever.
