Former Kansas graduate assistant Mitch Running is upset that a local radio host has accused him of discussing ku’s NCAA violations with The Star.
Running said he had no involvement in the wrongdoing and was never interviewed about the situation by the NCAA. He also said his name does not appear in ku’s self-report to the NCAA.
“It irritates me that someone would make that assumption,” said Running, one of three graduate assistants on ku’s 2003 football staff. “I went to (grad) school at Kansas and still have a lot of friends there. I don’t appreciate people trashing me and dragging my name through the mud. Someone didn’t do their research.”
Why is Mitch Running working for ku?????

There can be more than two grad assistants. Just not GA coaches.
HTH!
-
Gracias. You may now disregard my question mark smiley.

Yet ku's beat writter references Grad Assistant Coaches.

He didn't say there were three GA coaches.
King is wrong about the source being a coach or Running is lying.
I said that before.
-
All the more reason for the Star to pull King off of ku, or fire him entirely, and for the Editor to take a long hard look at the fact that his sports department might as well have a desk (likely does) in the ku SID's office.
-
I couldn't care less about what happens to King or Keitzman.
-
We care, when the largest newspaper covering ku athletics (and they cover KSU and MU as well) is nothing but Joseph Goebbels Jr for ku's AD; if you're a non ku fan, you have to care.
-
Why do you care what they write or say?
90% of their material is biased trash and EVERYONE be it ku fan, Mu fan, or Ksu fan knows it.
Keitzman looks for anything he can find on ku to bash while slob knobbing Ksu but I don't demand that he be fired. I just simply do my part and don't tune in to listen to his BS.
-
I really don't see KK in the wrong here, King's article was crap and he should be held accountable.
FWIW - I got rid of my subscription to the KC Star a long time ago b/c I feel it's nothing more than overpriced toilet paper.
-
I'm with KK on this one, too. King is the one who created this mess. He or ku should be held accountable, because either he misreported, or else ku had somebody doing something he shouldn't have been doing.
-
I would think the NCAA would have turned up findings of having too many grad assistant coaches when they did their little investigation.
Keitzman should have held back and gotten some confirmation before running his mouth.

810 does not have a full time beat writer covering ku ... the KC Star does, therefore we should expect the KC Star to get their information correct. They have afterall; hours if not days/weeks/months in some cases to do so.
When ku's beat writer is referencing a Graduate Assistant Coach then it is not going to far out on a limb in assuming that a newspaper beat writer is correct stating that he/she was a Graduate Assistant Coach.
When you understand the difference between a beat writer for a daily newspaper, and a sports talk radio host, we can carry on this discussion.

Anyone who is doing a piece in a newspaper or on the radio or anything at all that reaches the public had better be using valid sources and getting his facts straight.
Keitzman doesn't have more or less leeway than King here. Both have a job to do in getting their facts straight and not jumping on a subject before they're rightfully prepared to do so.
More blatant homerism coming from you is not surprising.

LOL!! This from the ku fan on the K-State board.
There's a difference, a clear difference, and Keitzman was only using the information provided by the ku BEAT writer at one of the midwests largest daily newspapers. We can thus conclude that Jason King simply is no longer a viable semi-objective resource for ku information (most of us knew this all along), and is only there to tell the world what Lew Perkins wants everyone to hear. In essence, Jasaon King has been invalidated as a source ... the ku beat writer at a major midwestern daily; pretty sad.
Had this been K-State, you'd be all over this ... on our boards, but all over it none-the-less.

You seem to have some extreme hatred for King and probably any journalist that views ku in a favorable light.
I on the other hand couldn't care less about ANY radio show hosts or beat writers. I don't listen to them nor keep track of the trash that they write/say. Its obvious that you want to see King go down in flames simply because he's a ku homer and yet you are defending Keitzman who is an equal but opposite counterpart for Ksu.
Thats why I wouldn't 'be all over it.' I don't care enough about what these tools say to bother but this threatens you for some reason and your insecurity is acting up once again.

Again ... you just don't seem to get that you're a ku fan, on a K-State board, telling a K-State fan that they're "threatend" and "insecure" ... over, and over, and over again.
You felt the need to keep responding, and keep telling us how you really don't care ... over, and over, and over.
You're amazingly stupid.
I do point this stuff out and shake my head, because I grew up in KC, and know how the vast majority of the ku lemmings that live there think.
