Dexter is good, the Showtime version not the sh*tty CBS version. My favorite is Californication though.  I've watched the first season 3 times.

Every show mentioned is good. Out of all of them I would say Always Sunny is the most hit or miss. If you are just looking to kill time watch Arrested Development. If you want to watch a show that you could get hooked to and watch straight through watch heroes or Dexter. (Showtime)

I really dislike Arrested Development. The humor is mediocre, the production is awful (fake audience laughter is enough to make me not watch it), and worst of all, people rave about this show like it's a trend. Firefly was much more deserving of a comeback after a premature cancellation, and it was funnier, too.

arrested development was way ahead of its time, the comedy was masterful.  sorry you didn't get it but you're alone in your criticism of the show for a reason.

Or maybe I appreciate different styles of humor moreso? I watched it on its original airing, so it has been a while. I may give it another try. It was just too over the top and in your face to enjoyable for more than one episode, really.

it is definately over the top and in your face, but it's also not over the top while not being in your fracking face.  you dig?
