Damn skippy!

We're still getting DOD cred in that prediction.

I see us going 4-0 out of the gate.
I'd like to think we'll get more then 2 conference wins.
ISU, NU, TT, ku.
I don't think ku will be that good this year....our O will be tough to stop....if our D is servicable...we get 3 or 4 conference wins, IMHO.

They also have prince as the coach on the hot seat in the big xii, fwiw.

And...

Ian Campbell as one of the top five players in the conference to look out for.

If we beat Tech to start out 5-0 we're going to win more than 8 games.
Consequently if we lose to Loisville and start out 3-1 we'll be lucky to win 5

Kansas State has very little chance of beating either Nebraska or Texas Tech this season. My guess is you beat out Iowa State and finish 5th in the Big 12 North.

Nebraska isn't going to be improved that much w/ Polini. If the wheels dont fall off the bus it's a very winnable game IMO.

Yeah, you'd think last year would have taught husker fans some humility.  Surprised to see trash talk considering.  "You've got no chance to beat a team that let the University of Kansas score 60+ on them."

..Ok.  Not saying we were any better, but the pot should not be calling the kettle black.

Yeah, the general Nebraska attitude towards a team that dropped 76 on them despite throwing its last pass in the third quarter . . . well . . .

like i said before, if the wheels havent fallen off by that point then it'll be a ball game. does anyone want to argue that k-state football's wheels hadn't fallen off by the Nebraska game last year?

Not only were you not better, but you were far worse. There's no need to compare our respective results against Kansas. We actually played each other, which I'm sure you're nxious to forget. That was the worst Husker team in decades, and we still absolutely killed you.

As for the Kansas fans here, don't go patting yourselves on the back too hard. (In fact if you resemble your head coach you may not be able to...or even have a back for that matter). You had one good year...out of about the last forty...prove you can do it over the course of a decade or so and we'll talk. Until then you're still a basketball school whose football program is best known for its obese 500 lb. coach that wears fleece running suits, wipes his ass with a stick with a towel attached, and beats his wife.

Dont think too high of yourself.  If Bo loses just a bit with this team your wheels are going to fall of the bus faster then last year.  By that I mean there are huge disciplinary issue that Big Tom wont be able to control.  Hell if your players get arrested he may not be able to get them paroled in time for the games.  And it is going to take more then one season for an outsider to restore the husker faithful.   And for you to think that our game was legit just shows you have no fbiq.  We had given up well before that game, unfortunately.

Yeah, you guys gave up back in about 2004. That doesn't change the fact that the worst Nebraska team in our history just absolutely kicked your asses. If your team really gave up, as you claim, smooth move giving your coach a contract extension. What part of the team quitting on Prince and getting their asses handed to them justified his contract extension?

I don't even need to focus on the game last year...how about the one before? Or the one before that? It will take some time to make Nebraska what it once was, but one thing we have mastered is completely thrashing you each season....it's like having a bye on the schedule really.

How the mighty have fallen.

You beat our team, yet we finished higher than you in the conference.

Our team will be much improved, your team has a new coach.

However, it's pretty sad when you know that K-State is your only highlight of the season.   That's REALLY got to hurt.

I remember when Nebraska used to be consistently great.  So happy they are a normal middle of the pack north team for the foreseeable future.  Would definitely be tough to get to a bowl if they were still good.

Just to clarify, one of the posts on the previous page mentioned that - "Ian Campbell as one of the top five players in the conference to look out for." Sports Illustrated was talking about players from unranked teams in the Big 12, not the Big 12 overall. Delete OU, Missouri, Texas, Texas Tech and Kansas, and sure, he is going to get some mention.

Of course Marcus Watts was one of the "five players to watch" from unranked Big 12 teams last year. That didn't turn out so well.
