Title: Twisty ties? Frack them.
Post by: catdude33 on August 07, 2008, 01:54:40 PM
Does anyone put the twisty tie back onto the loaf of bread after every use?  I personally hate anyone who insists that you do this.  A quick "spin and tuck" is much more efficient and works exactly the same as a twisty tie.  Don't be dumb guys.

Kidding right?  Seriously, put the damn twisty tie back on it the way you found it!   Twist and tuck leaves bread dried out in no time.  Terrible idea.  There are starving kids in China that would never waste like that, you horrible non=twisty tie people.

This is a pretty silly thread but I would have to agree.  I recken you'd probably save about a day or two of time wasted over a lifetime if you just did the spin technique instead. Plus, you can just throw the ties on the ground because they make great toys for cat's if you have them.  I don't have cat's mind you, that's gay.

Quote
And God came to Terry Pierce in a dream and said, "Terry, buy that wretched site known as KSUfans.com because they are truly good and holy people." And Terry said, "So it shall be done. And God, with your infinite power please bless the football team with a 7-5 record this year."  And God laughed.

Spin and tuck. Wife dislikes, but I don't care.

Okay, you tuck'ers, do you just tuck it under the loaf, or back over the top?

I actually don't spin, I do a clean tuck under the loaf.

You must go through a loaf faster than I.  Mine lasts me 4/5 days at least, and when I tried the no twisty tie method years ago that would never work, the bread would be way way too dry for my tastes.  Maybe thats it, I can't stand bread that is supposed to be soft, being at all dry.

I put my bread in the fridge.

The proper technique is to spin, then pull it back over the loaf in an inside-out fashion.

I've seen this and was intrigued, but never employed it on my bread.  I'll give this a try, it looks nice and appears to be equally functional.
Bread in fridge is a definite no frackin way you, that crap gets crusty in there.  I bet you are a bread freez'r too?

Wrong, wrong, this is just dead wrong.  This method compromises the integrity of the twist.  Totally defeats the purpose not to mention the different OCD problems this exposes.
