5. Kansas State
Last on my top five list is Wagner Field, home of the Kansas State Wildcats. This stadium has a great gameday atmosphere. For us Cyclone fans, who can forget about the announcer and fans saying, "That's for another Wildcat....First Down!!" Personally, being on the opposing side, it can be the most annoying thing you will hear during the course of the game. The field in located in Manhattan, Kansas, or as I like to say..the middle of nowhere. This stadium seats over 50,000 screaming Kansas State fans who fill the stands in nothing but solid purple! Minus last year, this place has built such a great tradition making it one of the hardest places to play in all of college football. From 1990-2001, the Wildcats only lost a mere five home games. That is pretty impressive!

He listed Iowa State at #2. Yeah, sure.

Iowa State must have the #1 worst English Composition courses of any university -- a 3rd grader could have written a better synopsis.
I know he's biased, but ISU #2??? If he wanted to rank the goofiest fans, ISU would take #1... easily. I've been there twice when it's been colder than a deep freezer and the fine ISU fans with children take their brood to the restrooms and make them sit on the floor in the restroom, next to urinals, to get'em to "warm up". Nothing like stepping on kids as you navigate through a restroom and then their parents allow them to be exposed to urine spray from K-State fans... I guess I found out where the Idiots Out Wandering Around go to sit, rest and warm-up during football games.

I have been at all but 3 Big XII venues (UT, Tech, Baylor) and I will say Ames is the WORST. Here's how I posted in regards to last year's trip to Lames:
So there are McJunkins and I in Jack Trice. To preface this post, I knew we were going to be beaten. I gave us little chance. Prince and I were the most cynical fans in the stadium. KSU sucks ass this year and has actually regressed. I, however, remain a KSU fan and am not on suicide watch. I just don't drink the purple kool-aid that many do.
Regarding the cats, I've never seen a worse effort in the Snyder era. Snyder was outcoached, outmotivated, and out-athleted by a mediocre team.
A mediocre team in a supremely average venue, which brings me to my next point.
The only thing separating the atmosphere in Ames from a high school game is the tailgating. It's quite comparable with the outside-the-game atmosphere in Manhattan. During pre-game they played at least five repetitive, irritating rap songs. I think I heard more 50 cent than the cyclone band. The guy running the PA would only announce only the road team player's last name, and instead of the usual "______ with the carry,gain/loss of _______", it was "Mann tries the right side". That was IF they got the player's name right. Not that anything KSU did was worth mentioning over a PA. I haven't heard crap like that since Manhattan High. The fans aren't rude or irritating, they're just wildly football ignorant. They're like thalidomide retarded puppies. Twice KSU ballcarriers threw stiffarms. One hit the top of a cyclone defender's helmet (and was quite useless) and another hit the shoulder pad. Both times, I heard many fans scream facemask. These fans were also bitching about officiating (which was admittedly miserable) when up twenty some points. They didn't know a beat up team with no chance while watching it. KSU had zero, ZERO chance to win this game down 17-10. It was possibly the worst defense I've seen KSU field in many, many years. ISU also apparently recruited some toothless slack-jawed wigger to be the backup mascot (that's you, #76). This idiot walked up and down the sidelines, waving a towel, doing the "running man", and generally loafing around with an inane, blank, Downs Syndrome look on his face.
So there it is, my official meltdown. I post it not out of bitterness toward Iowa State, they have the better team and apparently coaching staff. I just hate being embarassed at a road site resembling Bethany College football.

This is the worst most ignorant article I have seen in a long time. Putting Iowa State in second is ignorant and writing about the best in the big twelve without going to three of the stadiums especially when two of them deserve to be on the list is ridiculous. I can't believe someone would post that article.

any south team>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>ku
There, I fixed it for you, since you're obviously smoking crack and forgot that Baylor, OSU, and Tech are all in the south.
-
I have been to all but UT and A&M, both of which I assume are better than K-State and any other North stadium not located in Lincoln, Nebraska.
My ranking:
1. NU
2. OU
3. KSU
4. CU
5. OSU
6. MU
7. Tech
8. ku
9. ISU
10. BU

I would switch MU and OKST, but otherwise I agree with Koug's list.
