  at you people already looking ahead at what games ku 'might' lose.  We will be a very young team.  MSU and UA will be tough venues for our players.

Seriously though; shouldn't you guys be worried about the team your fielding?  Pitt State, for instance, could be a nail-biter - - - wait, it was last year too, right?

MSU without Drew and UA without Brandon are both gonna suck.  They will still beat ku though.  Pretty weak/lame schedule imo.  I guess they're taking the Mangino approach.

Bill Self apparently opened a Krispy Kreme.

I guess the UA game is the Big 12/Pac-10 Challange??  So nothing they can do on that, but UA is in total disarray.

MSU will be kind of tough.

The Tournament could be interesting, and Tennessee.

Otherwise creme filled with a cherry on top.

They have some pretty good OOC games.  Will be an interesting slate.  Anyone know when our full OOC sched. gets released?

PRETTY GOOD is very appropriate.

UMass-Sucks

U of A- is a mess

Tennessee, MSU very salty.

We'll see what the CBE slate looks like.

Otherwise "Hot Donuts Now".

You've got to be f*cking kidding me.  Tennessee, at Michigan State, at Arizona, plus potential games against Syracuse, Florida, and Washington in the CBE.  UMass and Temple are usually pretty solid A-10 teams.  Siena beat Vanderbilt in the NCAA tourney last season.  That's a very good OOC schedule.

it's a good schedule, i don't think frank announced ours until august/september last year.

Tennessee won't be that great.  Nor will Arizona.  The potential games could be good, especially Florida.  Umass just lost their coach.  Not a horrid schedule, but I think some of those teams will look better on paper in the context of last year than they will on the court.

I beg to differ on the UT comment. Like him or not, Pearl can coach. They've got Tyler Smith, JP Prince, Wayne Chism all back (which isn't a bad front court in any conference) and then they pick up Scotty Hopson (5 star SG), Emmanuel Negedu (4 star combo forward), along with Bobby Maze and Daniel West (3 star) to run the point.
Talent wise, they look better than last seasons team. Just have to see if they can mature quick enough, especially on the road at a place like Allen FH.
And don't hate on UMass too much. Who is Travis Ford anyway? They picked up Memphis Assistant Derek Kellogg and they'll be decent.

It's a better schedule than the one we played last year, which is the year we won the national title, IIRC.

i completely disagree with your "Pearl can coach" comment.  he can definitely recruit but his in game coaching leaves a lot to be desired.  i remember a few years ago when they played wsu in the ncaa tournament and he ran a full court press break that involved giving the ball to his 7 foot retarded center which ended up costing them the game.  he's a solid recruiter but an idiot when it comes to gameplanning/actual in game coaching.  kind of like mack brown.

or on dry land..........

But to the topic at hand.  It is actually a good schedule in the sense it's not COMPLETE creme-puffs, yet no team that should dominate ku, MSU being the best team on the schedule outside the tourney and I don't think they'll be great.  Also a lot of decent "names" on the list even if those teams dont turn out as good as people think they are.  It'll also help ku as the BIg 12 will be very weak this year.

Agree with UA in complete disarray.

I do think ku will begin conference play with at least 3 L's, probably more like 5.

It will be pretty weird going into a season with low expectations.  Good thing we won the NC, imo.
