Title: Ever climb a ladder and fall off?
Post by: mjrod on July 15, 2008, 05:38:13 PM
Did people see you do it and laugh?

Did you die?   Did you wanna die?

Anyone have any good stories?

I took a chunk out of my finger when 18 feet of the extendable ladder decided it didn't want to extend anymore.    :frown:

I'm terrified of climbing ladders.  Over 20 feet and I have a panic attack.

anyone been on a ladder that is a little unstable so you have someone hold it steady for you and have them NOT wobble it on purpose?  It's like they think they are the first person to ever think of doing that.  They find it hilarious.

The problem is that a little "wobble" on the ground turns into "timber" twenty feet up.

that's what I'm saying they all think it's funny.  and when you're on the top of the ladder you knew they were going to do it, however you still decide to trust them then get mad when they shake it like you didn't expect it.

I knew a guy that fell off a ladder and got his ring finger torn off when his wedding ring got caught on something as he fell. I also heard about some other dude that fell of a ladder while trimming trees with a chainsaw or something and the chainsaw cut his head straight in half.
This other time I was watching CSI: Random town and some guy wanted to borrow his neighbor's ladder but the neighbor was all like "&@#% you it's my ladder" so the guy just took it anyway and then they both died from electrocution or something.

My grandfather was on Saipan in '45 and apparently some dude decided to jump out of the bomb bay of a B-29 and got his wedding ring caught on the way down.  Apparently nine of his fingers made it to the runway.

True story.
