Rob Jeter!
Head coach at Wisconisn-Milwaukee, he's currently in first place in the Horizon League with a 16-6 record.
1. He spent four seasons at Wisconsin, one at Marquette, while Lowery spent one season at Illinois. Jeter has recruited and schemed at the highest level. He was very instrumental in getting Dwayne Wade (an underrecruited player) to Marquette. He's gotten a McDonald's All-American to Wisconsin. He can find hidden talent, yet still compete with the elite.
2. He's been under Bo Ryan, who runs a system that has been wildly successful everywhere he's been. They've won multiple Big Ten titles at Wisconsin. His swing offense emphasizes mismatches and is very tough to defend.
3. He's better looking than Lowery.
IMO, all Lowery has on Jeter is one more year of head coaching experience. Very insignificant, if you ask me.
If we're going to hire a young, inexperienced head coach with no sustained success at a mid-major, I say we offer Jeter before Lowery.

I'm a little pressed for time for research..
Can you link to the bio's of the coaches that you think we should be looking at?
Thanks.

Thanks.
You da man despite fatty love/hate you.

OK Rusty, or others in the know..
I have a question. Huggins sounds almost too good to be true, his philosophy is excellent. How do we get him from Cincy? Is he the one that Cincy wants to can and for what reason?
Why not go after Lowrey? He sounds more accessible, and maybe not damaged goods?
-
Huggins isn't at Cincy anymore.

mjrod, i think you should take a look at the great point i made to rusty over at KSUFans.com.

LOL. Rusty thought Peete was in the big 12.
Dude is f-ing clueless.

Besides fatty's childish attempts, I am trying to have a informative discussion, because I certainly haven't had the opportunity to look at candidates, and there have been more than enough good discussions, but I still have not enough info to put it all into context.
I'm curious about Huggins and the issues with him. I need links to alridge and law. I don't spend much time following basketball coaches except what I know of the big names currently.
Thanks.

neither aldridge or law has the experience of a huggins. but you would have to look seriously at law (if he could be interested in ksu). he is actually acie law the 4th, so there is a proven track record of 3 previous successful acie laws. i think that bodes pretty well.

Har har (snicker snicker.)
OK, those can be on the list, but at the very bottom.
