Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
Are you referring to the original 1990 movie or the recent animated film commonly referred to as 'TMNT'?
Both are highly underrated excellent movies.

do you even know the defintion of obscure? I think my comparision was pretty much right on when movies like office space, tin cup, and star wars make the list. so eat it .

Speaking of Beastmaster (BM to us in the know). The most underrated BM animal friends were the ferrets. :eyeseeyou:

haven't seen nor heard of it. there's a video rental place near my house called "blockbuster" - anyways, it's a cool deal because you can pay them like $5 and rent one of their movies for a week or so to watch at your own house. it's cool too because they sell all the popcorn/soda/candy that you would normally get at the theater but instead you can get it for your home theater. i can stop by there sometime this week and see if they can track me down a copy.

First off, I don't speak broken english. Second, what I translated was your condition for underrated was not watching a movie? Or even knowing a movie? I'm not sure. Fix your engrish and we'll talk.

Sounds awesome  Wish they had places like that in Nebraska. Also, check out this old indi film (Not Indiana Jones you retard (but check that out too if you get a chance)) Casablanca. The color doesn't "pop" off the screen like some stuff (prolly because of crapty video cameras) but the story is pretty good. Plus, there's Nazi's which make for good movies (like Top Secret < the best movie evAr).

Trent: So, what'd you think of that Dorothy girl?
Mike: The whole Judy Garland thing kinda turned me on. Does that make me some kind of fag?
Trent: No, baby, you're money.
[playing a hockey video game]
Trent: I wish they still had fights in this game so I could bitch-slap Wayne.
Mike: What? They don't have fighting anymore?
Trent: Doesn't that suck?
Mike: Why'd they get rid of the fighting? It was the best part of the old version.
Sue: I think kids were hittin' each other or somethin', man.
Trent: Yeah but you know what, Mike? You can make their heads bleed in this one.
Mike: Make somebody's head bleed.
Sue: No man, we're in the playoffs.

This thread was just starting to pick up steam... Anyway I neglected to weigh in, and I'm a massive film geek (not quite Catmatt level, though)
First of all, even though you're a chicken-tard, Goldbrick nailed it with John Carpenter's The Thing...Holy SH*T that movie kicks ass. The stop motion special effects still look better than any of the cgi garbage they have today.
Caddyshack is great, although it's sort of ubiquitous now so I can't call it underrated. (This here's Mr. Wang, no offense) Just watched it again last week. Did you know that originally it was supposed to be a serious film about class in america?
Now onto movies that got solidly rotten ratings:
UHF--Weird Al's finest, and for some reason only movie. Skip Be Kind, Rewind and watch this instead for a good movie spoof.
The 'Burbs--The height of Tom Hanks comedic career, even if he won't admit it. He became decidedly unfunny after this movie.
Kingdom of Heaven--A brooding Orlando Bloom stars in this epic about the Crusades, and he nearly ruins it for everyone else, but not quite. There is a directors cut that I haven't seen yet that actually got good reviews.
Premonition--This movie got like 8% tomatometer, but it's a good puzzle/freaky movie. The ending is unsatisfying and I think that pissed off every critic enough to give it a bad rating, otherwise it's a fun time-traveling romp.
PCU--Jon Favreau's finest acting performance
The Chase--Charlie Sheen when he was totally loaded
License to Drive--the Coreys' Oscar-caliber comedy.. about getting a driver's license
Summer School--From the days when we could take Mark Harmon seriously
high rated by critics, but nobody has seen:
Memento--If you thought Premonition sucked, well this movie is a lot better. Lenny!
Serenity--best sci fi movie of the 2000s
in Bruges--Don't ask questions, just rent it

any and everything that is historically accurate is in the directors cut. still a fun movie though, and i agree that it is very underrated.
