that was so lame it made me laugh -- can just imagine that dude with his little search engine at amazon.com typing in "team" and then gathering together all the little URLs for this post. heh -- good one, dude.

The pessimism on this board is gettin' ugly.

Sad people over here.

I'm actually very happy.  KSU athletics has little to no effect on my emotions.

Exactly.  Ugly is GoPowercat.com's schizophrenia as they try to figure out if they're supposed to hate Prince, Momma Evridge, or Kietz.  Ugly is what's gonna happen on KSF.com when KSU loses to Louisville and Baylor and Nebraska and Mizzou and Texas and ku and Iowa State and suddenly everybody's furious because sunshine pumpers like catfan28 have everybody expecting 8-4 as a "reasonable" expectation for this year.

Ugly is what happens when delusional fans get smacked upside the face with reality in mid-October, and everyone else starts b*tching about Prince's recruiting because it becomes obvious that he's not a gameday genius--he's not an idiot, mind you, it's just that he, unbelievably, wasn't able to turn a retired brilliant coach's sub-.500 team into Big XII North champs, which for some reason seems to be a "reasonable expectation" to a lot of KSU fans, and because he's not a genius, all of a sudden that recruiting starts to look a lot more important, and people are a little less happy with two-stars who are "scary fast."

You need to recalibrate your ugly meter.  Ugly isn't pessimism.  Ugly has been reality for KSU football under Snyder for the past two years, and it's been reality for KSU football under Prince for the past couple of months.  There's certainly little indication that it's going to get any prettier as we get into the fall.

I try to imagine why our football coach is dickin' around reading books unless they are playbooks or scouting reports at this time of year.

The popularity of this guy with some fans is unfathomable.

Where's that link where I said we would go 8-4? I haven't predicted anything this year.

My point is.....just because you don't think we are not gonna have a great year in football.....which still hasn't been proved yet...doesn't mean you have to "lynchmob" Prince and his team with all this negative stuff.

Once again....it's sad that ya all would resort to this kind of attitude. Oh well......you can stay in your "piss on Prince" attiitude.

here is the brillance of pessimism when it comes to sports teams.  If you're right, you're level headed and not overly broken.  If you're wrong you want to kiss babies and hug old people. :dancin:

Well he probably needs to reread How to win friends and influence people with some of you on this board!  I don't post much here but I enjoy the openness that  MJ allows.   You don't have to drink the purple koolaid every day to get along and post here.

History's great dictators ruled without the burden of emotion.
