just curious, Krause mentioned that they were adding an addition on to the weightroom at Vanier in article awhile back.
I also recall someone mentioned that Mike Clark said they were going to take the North Endzone Videoboard at BSFS and move it to TFS, and then put up a larger Videoboard in the North Endzone.
Anybody know, heard or seen any of this stuff going on??

They were suppose to have replaced the inside fence with limestone around the football field...it hasn't happened yet :curse:- I was told that it is on a list of items and prolly won't be done this year (even though they said that it would) :banghead:

Early indications are that Krause is all about getting things done right AND right now. IMO we won't have the broken promises of the Weiser days under Krause.
Interesting on the videoboard. When the Vanier expansion was going on I heard that the roof of Vanier couldn't hold the same size videoboard as the south endzone. Originally, Weiser wanted to do two 60-foot widescreen videoboards but Snyder opted for the expansion of Vanier rather than the complete rebuild (or at least that's what I heard). IMO Vanier is too hodge-podge and they should really tear down everything except for the new expansion and just try again.

The new LED technology is about 40-60% lighter than the old CRT technology used in the original Sony Jumbotrons, so the roof could support a larger video board.

could they update the sound first? It is terrible.

They need to fix the north end zone... Grass and chairs are ridiculous.
Jokes. :)

seriously, impossible to hear anything on the lower levels. i'd like to say that is becayse the bill has always been so loud, but a lot of it is just sh*tty speakers.

They did "update" the sound, but they still have a lot of tweaking to do . . . of course had Timid Tim listened to the architectural experts, this would not have been an issue. But as of right now, K-State has bought a $750K turd of a sound system because it's not the kind of sound system that works best in a venue like BSFS.
The architects recommended a "distributed" sound system which places speaker 'pods' throughout the stadium, as of right now K-State has a sound system that's either way to loud, or can't be heard at all.
