Here's the thing. Some scouts are probably trying to poison Beasley to drop him from the #1 and hope that some teams take need over talent and that Beasley can be gifted to them. Chad Ford, like a moron, gets a "scoop" and revolves everything he says around this one comment so that he seems "in the know." I don't think he has an axe to grind, or any reason to favor Rose over Beas. I think that he heard something, so now he has to pound it home. Sloppy journalism? Probably. But Ford isn't at fault for calling out Beasley, someone in the NBA is.

I disagree. If Ford is a basketball analyst shouldn't he analyze and watch some game tape to form an opinion, instead of passing along rumors? Seriously, Ford is an absolute joke. If he had watched any game tape at all, the choice is Beasley by miles. Instead he chooses to propagate rumors and lies, and base his "analysis" on interview styles. Chad Ford is about 100 hamburgers, 20 hookers, and another anti-Beasley article away from being Jason Whitlock.
PS - That might be misconstrued as a compliment to Fatlock, so to clarify, it is not.

here's the thing. we don't need a daily "i hate chad ford" thread. what he, or anyone else in the media thinks of beasley won't effect where he ends up going in the draft. ford pointed out in his column that paxson drafted noah last year.
a legitimate arguement can be made why a team would draft rose over beasley, it just doesn't have anything to do with character issues.

I'm just saying it isn't a personal vendetta, it is sloppy and lazy journalism.
One is rare and to be despised the other is par for the course and to be despised. I just think Chad Ford isn't much different from anyone else out there.

He riffed with the press about Joey Dorsey's proclamation that he "knew" that Beasley was going No. 1 saying, "Oh yeah, Joey, he got this car to take him to the future sometimes. He must have just got back from the future."

I just think it's weird how people think picking Mike 1 or 2 is settling, or going to be catastrophic. Rose gets in fights and Mayo embezzles. Beasley spray painted a truck once. woooo. He did nothing wrong this year, or the year before. He played even better than durant, but now, lets take him 3rd. It's a weird unfounded attitude.
