Title: The Tradition Continues- K-State Will Win Big 12 North
Post by: pissclams on May 26, 2008, 12:30:47 PM
not going emaw but think about it.  how can we not win the North?

let's just talk intangibles-
tough, gritty, proven, veteran as our field general qb/stud.
seasoned and experienced OL (thank you Ron Prince for hearing us fans!).
wide receivers?  why, lets just call them glide receivers.  by far the most speed in the big 12 by a long shot.
line backers that don't take "no" for an answer, making brooks barta proud one tackle at a time.  you know?
lets discuss corners.  ours.  wow.  lock down.  convo over.
probably the best fullback in the Big 12, i don't even think the competition committee had to meet about that award.  did they, i'm not sure.
miscellaneous intangibles.  incredible.

the more that i think about it, the more that this team reminds me of a national championship contender.
help me out though and fill in the blanks where im missing analysis. tia.  and lets not let this thread turn into a pissing contest.

Yep. Even though we barely use a FB in Prince's offense in the first place. And if we do it is usually the second string TE.

Alstatt. :yuck:

I don't like our WR's or LB's.

National title is pretty crazy. I think you (piss) and I (fatty) would be happy with sipping a diet coke on the riverwalk as KSU gets ready for the Alamo bowl.

Clams you hit it right on the head.  We have next years #1 draft pick taking hikes for us this year.  It's lollable to think how overrated Jordy was when you see that every single catch he had last year Freeman basically put it into the absolute perfect spot.  When you have the second coming of Joe Montana throwing footballs to the fastest receiving corp in the midwest (<----not sure where boundaries are for midwest) then predicting any less than 9 wins is pretty lcfbiq if you ask most experts.

You must be young if you have never heard of north texas. Beating North Texas in 1989 was a huge win for the program, it was the only win that year, but it was the spark of the DOD.

note to WCP- "not as stupid as you think.  NU & ISU both suck it and suck it major league style.  i did some quick math and figured each win will only count as .5 or 50% of 1 win in the standings.  this will be the first time in division 1 sports that a win will only count for half a win, but it's true, you can look it up.

Stan Weber also would agree with this outlook.
