it's a pretty fracking fine line, imo. go too soon and you can kiss the roof of your mouth goodbye for a few days, wait too long and you're eating glorified crap that may or may not give your e. coli.
just a heads up guys, just a heads up, be careful.

I sure hope not. We need some maturity starting from the top.

I'm a tonys fan. Sometimes I'm too lazy to preheat the oven so i just put the &@#%er on a plate and microwave the sumbitch for 5 minutes and then eat with a fork. Still tasty.
When I was a kid, I cooked a tony's in the oven and set the pan on my parents new coach. Whoops. :ohno:

I am kinda fancy....I get the California Pizza Kitchen Tai pizza. Very good. That, or those wannabe Chicago style pizza's where the sauce is on top.

frozen pizza is frozen pizza, spending more than the occasional $3 on a tombstone is like putting blackface on bill seff.

no man, no thai for me. making "thai pizza" is like bill seff putting collard greens on his cavier.

Aldi has the best frozen pizzas.

Tombstone is easily the best bang for your buck. Also, let the pizza sit for like a minute or two out of the oven and presto. No more melted cheese stringing all over the place, and no burnage of the mouth. 8-)

bread, canned chopped/crushed tomatoes, crushed garlic, olive oil, basil, m. cheese. other stuff if absolutely necc.
better taste, same cost, maybe a couple minutes of prep time.
better yet, cook real pizzas. totally easy w. a bread machine to churn out the dough.
-
Jack's. or totinos/tony's
-
Tombstone pepperoni + garlic salt + don't burn it = best gourmet pizza recip.

i make my own pizza from scratch a lot, super easy with a kitchen aid stand mixer. sauce from scatch, for cheese i get fresh mozz balls and cut it up. good stuff but the house gets really hot cause i cook it at 500 and it's really messy to make.
it's more of a weekend thing b/c the dough takes so long though.

i go to 550 cause thats's as high as my oven will go. does heat the house tho. good point on that summertime drawback. the bread machine can crank out the dough in under an hour. really not that long to wait, imo.
good opp. to relax w. an aperitif, which is something i usually forget to do w. quicker foods.

of course, but only when i have time. the pizza in kc sucks and forced me on a long journey of discovering pizza making. it's really a lot of fun trying new dough techniques and making sauces from scratch, etc.

i go 550 when making it at the gf's place, which is more often than at home but ya, its not a great summertime hobby. and you're right, get the dough rising and make some drinks, that's my standard M.O.
the bread machine doesn't make bread quicker, nor easier, than a kitchen aid. you can't rush good dough, or force the dough to rise any quicker. the secret to good pizza dough is to incorporate autolyse method.
i'm a bit of a pizza nerd and this guy is my pizza mentor (http://slice.seriouseats.com/jvpizza/)
there's enough good info on that site to keep you going for a long time :notworthy:

home made pizza sucks ballz, if it was good, pizza restaraunts would go out of business. Unless of course you can get your oven to like 900 degrees to quickly toast the toppings without drying everything.

great page. kind of craving a pizza now.

Best pizza flavors in order of goodness:
1. Chicken-feta-olive-pesto
2. Jalapeno-beef-mozz-red sauce
3. Pepperoni-sausage-pepperoncinis-mozz-red sauce
-
use the grill for non-house heating in the summer. not a huge problem, plus the crust is money. use your reg pizza dough recipe or make smaller ones w/ a pita or naan recipe. pesto, chicken, sd tomatoes, mozz...winner.

i'm going back to the well tonight, obviously totinos, fracking duh...
might go with a canadian bacon followed up with a pepperoni, washed down with some 1% milk
