As a baseball fanatic who grew up around nothing but baseball, I have always found it interesting as to why college baseball is not even close to being as mainstream as college football and college basketball.

i think a lot of it has to do with the transition from hs/college to the mlb. it is so based on potential and with a literal ocean of farm teams it is tough to follow a players career. if an average player has high potential he can jump ship after his freshmen year in hopes of being cultivated on a good minor team and some year down the road being called up. its not even like it was some outstanding fresh that we had our one year of glory with and even if he was, with media coverage so low, we never hear about him again unless he actually makes the majors within a year or two. imo.
