Mulligatawny - Best soup by a mile.  Chicken tortilla (cream not broth) second and then either lobster or shrimp bisque in third.

I like the smell. I enjoy the way my clothes, burps, and farts smell the rest of the day.

We have 1 Indian place here in T-Town.  I am neighbors with the owner - nice guy.

Baked Potato Soup, and Chili are the winners, if in fact chili is considered a soup. . .

Chili is not a soup.  And frankly, I find it a little distrubing that some people are even entertaining the idea that it is.

i don't think it's a soup either, but it is better than all these soups in this thread and I didn't want people to be under the assumption that chili is not better.

A stew is a chunky soup. Chili is only good if chunky/soupy thus chili = stew.

soups: french onion, baked potato, and chicken enchilada (they have it at the comfort inn i'm staying at for free in the breakfast room).\

stews? chili would be considered a stew, though stews typically have a thickened 'broth'

QFT, calling chili a soup is like calling a hotdog a soup.

First of all are you really going to use your possible last ksufans.com post (anyone could be our last now that you've given up) to talk about cold soups?

Secondly cold soups are evil.

Thirdly the best soups ever are

1 Lobster Bisque
2 Bo sheen tong (dog soup (not kidding))
3 Wisconsin cheese in a bread bowl.

Cherry soup--Is that basically flour, water, cherries, sugar and cream?  If so, I know and have made it.  Old favorite growing up.  Kinda looks like cherries floating in pepto bismol.

Ravenwood soup - Has taken the place of turkey at family gatherings, and is unfrackinbelievably wonderful.   I did a google search and didn't find it in the first two pages so might be called another name by others?   Cheese based souce, oh man I wish I had me a dish.
