A couple of my friends told me that The Exorcism of Emily Rose was, "The Scariest Movie EVAR!!" Turns out it wasn't even close to being scary.
So basically I want to see something that scares me sh1tless. Any suggestions??

Same stuff as when everyone thought "The Ring" was a scary movie.
Asava came on here awhile back and said "The Descent" was a good scary movie. It got great reviews. Take it fwiw.

Night of the Living Dead (original b&w) is up there. Amazing with the shoestring budget it was made on.

Descent was pretty weak sauce imHo but the girl I saw it with was having nightmares that night. Movies with creatures just don't scare me though, I need a psycho to have any effect.

I thought I am Legend was pretty scary for the first hour, then it totally petered out and the ending sucked. I'm not really into horror much, I guess I like sci fi more. I saw the Mist and it was entertaining, but not all that scary. Alien is one of my favorite scifi/horror flicks. Movies that mess with your mind are a lot better than gore-fests.

Halloween.
That f*cking mask is so damn creepy. after seeing it for the first time, i kept expecting that damn mask to be outside my window.

INLAND EMPIRE

although not horror movies i think red dragon and the rest of the silence of the lambs (minus the new one) are pretty damn scary imo.
little girls running around blind cause they have hair covering their face dont really qualify as scary.
