Legal fees.  It was detailed in mj's post in "The Plan...." thread.

She still likes it in the butt, whether she admits it or not.

Legal fees were most likely a couple hundy for securing trademarks for the site name and (lols) PowerOrbTM through LegalZoom.com or some sht.

They send letters of "My client is requesting that you remove said post.. blah blah.. can be characterized as slanderous/libelous/greatly offensive.. please do this immediately or we shall be forced to pursue legal action.. blah blah."

My attorney writes back "LOL" (and charges $125.00 for the letter.  :curse: :curse: :curse:)

when lawyers write letters like that, threatening you with lawsuits, they usually don't have a case and are just trying to scare you into action. if they meant business they would have sent you a court date.

so yeah, your lawyers response sounds about right.

Meatball or tuna sub?

i can't remember, but I think it might have been a penny club.

was she ready?

oh yes.

I told him a while back he should just a make a template with fill in the blanks for this kind of letter and not charge me so much.

He sent me a letter that said.. "LOL".

so, no chance of you spilling the beans on the client list?

i really want to know who would be dumb enough to spend the money for their lawyer to send you a letter when said lawyer knows it is complete b/s and just needs to rack some billable hours.

Naw..

I'm not in the business of telling people the names of who did what.   Let's just say that this individual doesn't frequent the board anymore.

BMW threatened, but I called his bluff and he backed down.

What happened with him was a shame.   People took it way too far, as they did with the Berringer incident.    KSUFans has developed a reputation as being a bunch of bad asses, but I think if there was ever a rumble, I'd be the only one standing there representing the site.  Everyone else would be enjoying the show of me kicking everyone elses asses (through a series of well calculated sucker punches.)
