Title: Networking thread (employment)
Post by: Saulbadguy on April 10, 2008, 03:51:10 PM
Use this thread for employment opportunities at your company, or if you are looking for work.  We have a large enough userbase that if this pays off for at least one person, it would be worth it, right?

Helpdesk technician opening for a state government agency in Topeka, KS

Must have some prior experience with hardware/software troubleshooting, general computer knowledge and repair experience (home use does not count).  A+ certification helps, but not required.  Pay is $14.00/hr no benefits, full time but through a temp. agency - but it's not a "temporary" position.  This is an excellent springboard in to full-time positions throughout the state system,  we've had quite a few of our technicians go on to full time jobs.

Send me a PM or email if interested.

Oh oh!!!! Pick me!!!

is $14/hr typical pay for a non-temp gig like this? I might know of someone who would be interested.

It's actually very good compensation for near entry level tech work, IMO.

Does the person have a degree? A+ certification? Any technical background? If the person has any of those things I would look for a similar job that provides benefits. Anybody with a degree, an A+ certification or decent technical background with a good reference should easily be able to make $14+/hr WITH benefits.
