They better hope that Adrian Peterson can throw as well as he can run.

So this won't affect the sports writers ranking them #1.  Right? ;)

keitz just confirmed this on petro's show.  another player, j.d. quinn, a starting o-lineman was also dismissed.  both for being paid by a private business for hours not worked.

Big Red Sports and Imports?  If it is, OU needs to quit sending their players there.

No way.  surely not.  OU cheating?

I guess Paul Thompson will be moving back from WR to QB then?

Have to think that the NCAA is going to hit them pretty hard despite Stoops attempt to elude capture by dismissing them.  Sucks to be them, now even more.

Bomar  :ustupid:

Do you guys think there might be more to this story as time goes on?  Is Stoops or the program clear of any other trouble?  Is the NCAA gonna step in? I wouldn't be surprised if there is more to come from this story.

Would you consider some of OU's wins last year as "bogus" due to the recent news?  Does anybody know of the official time frame that bomar and quinn were "employed"?  I'm just curious as to how this effects last seasons team, if at all.

The employment in question did actually occur last summer.  Hmmm...if he was ineligible, then we might just pick up another win last year.  :-)
