5)???
Jim, we may have been rough on you sometimes, but I believe all of us here at ksufans.com could say with out question, your time here was been a total and utter trainwreck.
-
Excellent work.
-
You notice all our road wins were in single digits except the ass-kicking we gave WSU?
DID YOU NOTICE????
-
Man, could start some real crap with the WSU road victory statistic over on ksf.

the cu pasco game has to be in the top 5 close losses despite just being cu. it was the tourney after all, and i think all of us that saw it will remember it for the rest of our lives. it may be the defining moment of the wooldridge era.
and umkc has to go into the woolite breaking losses.
your top 5 is wrong. it should be -
1 martin
2 massey
3 pasco
4 dejesus
5 reid
peete might have made the list - plenty of juco players dramatically improve their shooting % in their 2nd year. but he just shot too poorly as the 2nd (and at times 3rd and 4th) option to merit consideration for last year. if wooldridge wasn't going to be fired this year, stewart would probably make the list too. but since his best 2 years will be under the new coach he can't be added either. i'm not positive reid should really be on the list at all. he wasn't a great player - just the best player on some really bad teams. someone has to score on even the worst of teams - doesn't mean he is really a good player. but its not like there is some hugely deserving player waiting in obscurity at the 6th spot, so i guess it doesn't hurt to keep him on the list
-
Cannot believe I forget the P.F*
*Pasco Fiasco.
We have a new #1.
-
The failure to show up at UMKC has to be the worst loss.
-
Ughh...missed another one.
-
I'm convinced the UMKC loss was the downfall of our entire athletic department. Everything was great up until that game. Since that game there was the Ell incident, fooball has fallen off the map, and basketball has failed to do anything. Somehow it all relates back to the UMKC game.

I remember coming out of Fiorella's Jack Stack down in the Freighthouse district during the Iowa game, getting in the car and hearing the score. I was so fricking giddy.

Top 5 Really bad losses (the ones that broke down even the Wooliest of the Woolites)
1)@BU 2005-2006
2)NU 2005-2006
3)@ISU 2004-2005
4)@ku 2004-2005 (big 12 tournament)
5)CU 2004-2005
You need a Top 10 or a Top 20 List here. On top of the UMKC debacle and the Pasco Fiasco, what about the OU game in Manhattan "white jersies/red jersies? they all look the same to me!" from 2002 or 2003 (was that Reynolds who threw the ball to the Sooner) or the colossal OSU 16-point lead choke job from a couple of years ago? There was also some embarrasing loss to a no-name school in North Carolina, I can't remember who (UNC-Mayberry, perhaps?). A few of us Wooly hardliners were writing him off way back then...
-
I split up the losses over 15 in three catagories. The 1st two that you are referring to are under "Close losses" and "Moral victories"
The loss you are thinking of is Western Carolina.
LOL
-
I've split my losses up between "suck" and "not suck".
Those all fall into "suck".

4)@ISU 2002-2004;2006 (all of them)
5)OSU 2003-2004
I think @ISU should be replaced with Ole Miss at home, where Travis Reynolds fouled that midget at OUR free throw line with 1.2 seconds on the clock and the game tied.
Good times.

The red/white jerseys OU game was the worst ... I was there, horrible.

There was a home loss to Baylor that same year we beat Iowa. I was there for both. It was the same thing that year as it is this year. How the crap do we go to ku and win and then go to Baylor and lose? Defying the laws of physics and nature, only to be crushed by the laws of suck and blow.
