Calling himself "Mr K-State 1" is interesting. He could have done that years ago and never changed it though...
He sure is keepin it real on that site

I am officially scared of that man. That was more gangster crap than I have seen in all my life combined. I feel like I just spent a few years in the pen, and no I am scarred for life. I think that guy would honestly shank somebody with a filed down toothbrush.

I want Tyree's card to be a picture of him w/ the revolvers and vest from his background picture.

I want him more now!1!!!

Why is the MSU one bigger than the rest? Did they include any "gifts"? :fatty:

Can someone get hold of some ku stationery?

I can't imagine how those folks feel after watching Beasley this year.

no one every mentions this in discussing why it was a no brainer to hire martin. i would have killed myself if beasley played for memphis or texas or someone this year.

Sure, but we would have been one year closer to our SLTH rebuilding us so we could compete for a NIT bid.

I like the graphic about 1/5th of the way down that riffs on the Parental Advisory sticker:
one more
EDUCATED
black man
Define educated, Tyree. No, seriously. Can you?

Also I like that he's nearly middle-aged.

I was thinking the same thing. He's almost as old as Brandon Rush for Christ's Sake!

Winning the NIT is like winning at the Hershey's Track meet. The only people who care are the parents.

Seriously, I want some ku stationery and I want to write Tyree and his coach. We have the address right there! What can we say on the letter?

According to Fitz, ku is recruiting Tyree Evans.

You can get enough official logo stuff here to fake it.

I think we're offering Awadjgji and passing on Tyree. Not sure that's a good move, almost sure it's not, but I think we're already doing it.
-
We should probably send letters from 'Zona, Tennessee, Florida State, etc... and tell Tyree he's off our list. Then send a letter from KSU offering his coach a job.
Sound like a plan?

I think that's a safe assumption. Especially because Frank told him he was a "high character guy" and that we value that. Hard to make that same sales pitch to Tyree.

You could say he's a high guy with character. If you say it fast enough maybe no one notices?

So we lose Mike, Clent, Blake gone for sure. Pick up Sam., Clem., and Bennett m'fing scholly gone. That gives us one to give for sure and possibly 2 depending on Bill? We sign this Awadjobudi and can prob. still get a late crack at Tyree if Bill splits? Or do we want two juco SGs? The preceeding has been a LBBRIQ question spree.

Something like that. I'm assuming we have 2 to give now, Beasley and Walker. Hoskins could be, but we probably won't know until early summer or so. I think we're recruiting a SG first, Evans or Awaji from JUCO and Kilpatrick from HS/prep. Then we'll probably go best available, more than likely McDonald. I'm sure if Witherspoon came and asked to be part, we'd find a way. But I think its likely we sign a SG and a SF. There just isn't much out there for bigs so I think we avoid that, unless Colon decides to go. And then it looks at best its probably Herrera who would commit as soon as we offer.

Don't we already have Clemete under scholarship, or did he not take one until this season?
-
Ohhh... Thanks for the heads up. Tennessee... not really a shock if that's the case. They lose a ton of guards. I find it comical that the Holy Rolling panzies on GPC that say "We don't want a kid like that" are the same ones bitching about our shooters. Tennessee on the other hand just re-loads with a hired gun and their fans just go on about their business.
I'm good with Abuchi Agumbi anyway.

Imagine if Athletic Director Jon Wefald had just allowed former Assistant to the Athletic Director Tim Weiser to fire Wooly the year he wanted to in 2005, and we had hired Bruce Pearl.
Ballplayers will tell you to this day that Pearl was strongly interested in the job.
Oh, what might have been.......

That timing would have allowed us to witness at least one Pearl vs. Sampson matchup. Lots of good side-stories in that game - all related to improper phone usage.

Hoskins will not play next year and prob not play competitive bball ever again :'( . Odds are bad, bad, bad.

I think he's implying that Evans was placed in Tennessee by Pearl similar to the way he was placed in Kansas by Huggs. This time he made it through unblemished. No idea if it is true, but it could make some sense.

What would've been really interesting is if Iowa or was it Illinois?? Was still on K-State's schedule, because didn't Pearl really tick off one or the other school when he was an Iowa assistant?? I know somebody in Big 10 country had a big hard on for the guy.

Illini fans don't care much for Pearl from his days at Iowa. (http://www.illinoisloyalty.com/GoIllini/20050324_bruce_pearl)
The height of animosity toward the injustice was manifest at the 1990 Iowa game at the Assembly Hall. Bruce Pearl did not travel to Champaign. The Illini exploded to a 48-23 lead at halftime. The scoring barrage only got worse for the Hawkeyes. Spurred on by loud chants to "Run up the score! Run up the score!", Illinois scored 70 in the 2nd half and won 118-85. The 2nd half output by both team (132) remains an Assembly Hall record for most points in one half.

I'm saying that, on his myspace, he says he is in TN. His juco is in TN. I haven't really read much at all that would suggest he will play for the Vols. I think people assumed that, because his site said TN, he was signing with UT. And how do you equate me saying a particular juco is located in Tenn. as the same as me saying Colorado is in Texas? Do you even know how maps work?

He's also listed as MrKstate1 on there. At this point Tyree's word is as strong as the dollar.
