Title: 10 pages and counting . . .
Post by: sonofdaxjones on March 25, 2008, 02:10:02 PM
10 pages worth of posts to convince themselves K-State is going to suck next year.   Seriously, is there anyone, anywhere else on the Interwebs that declares a "beat down"  more than DocStalkSmith??

http://mbd.scout.com/mb.aspx?S=172#s=172&f=2481&t=2245894

That's some classic $hit there baby.

Are we not going to suck?

I think there's a strong possibility that K-State could suck, I guess I should have said 10 pages worth of self convincing that K-State isn't building a long term program.

We will be better without Beasley.

Walker is coming back.

Hoskins will defy the laws of science and make a 125% recovery, making him better than before the injury.

The guys will learn to shoot a basketball properly in the offseason.

Our offense will be more balanced without a NPOY candidate on the roster.

Jamar Samuels can really play.  I mean really.

Denis Clemente, when not high, is all-ACC good.

rusty does a great job of allowing the stupider jhawks to expose themselves, imo.  it must be very embarrassing for the hbbiq ones like bmw, et al.

of course, some of the non-rusty ksu posters must be pretty embarrassing for rusty as well.

I supposed the focus on the Cats allows them to avoid confronting their own suckage next year.

true.  oth, if everyone leaves, and the staff signs a trio of new gilberts, they could suck like late asbury/early wooly.

I've always found it funny that less than 1% of ku fans actually "got" the Martin/Hill hire.

I think Elway had a burser sack operation that made his tendon tighter, thus making him a stronger thrower than before.

The Big 12 loses quite a bit of talent.

Beasley
Augustine (if he goes pro)
Walker
Arthur
Rush
Chalmers
Jackson

that is quite a few really really good players.

Kstate will be in the mix with talent among the conferences best with Kansas and Texas being the leaders.

does the big 12, in your mind, consist of ksu and ku (and ut if augustine turns pro)?

Yep, SLTH . . . as in a long term before K-State made it to the NCAA.

But hey, why have another Upper Division conference finish, the end of the silliest streak in college hoops over with, and an NCAA tourney bid under your belt . . . when the possibility of maybe being consistantly good lurked out there on the horizon in 4 or 5 years??

That really sells tickets and makes people want to contribute to a $70 million dollar fund raising campaign, "hey, hang on, I know it's 2010 and we haven't been to the NCAA tourney in 14 years now, and the streak against ku is still going on, but just sign a blank check would ya."

NBAdraft.net has a major hard-on for Griffin.  6th in the 2008 draft.

He's a monster.  If he develops a reliable mid-range jumper and learns how to hit a free throw he could be a force in the NBA.

I don't know how anyone can say that hiring Frank Martin was the wrong move by K-State.  The guy's really not that bad of a coach.  He did a respectable job for a guy that was a first-year head coach in a BCS conference.  I think a lot of people are just skeptical of him because he inherited guys like Beasley and Walker.  People want to see what he can do without those guys before they rush to a conclusion.

:peek:

What is the logical thought process that goes through the naysayers minds?  Rick Barnes lost in the Second round with superior talent.  Now, I don't believe for one second we will have a year like Texas had this year, but you have give more credit to Frank Martin than what is been given to him by the phags.

Of course, if he were at a school other than K-State or Missouri, things would be different.

he did a fine job this year, the only people that don't think so are ku fans.
